NASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> APRIL 4, 1994 <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 6:00PN <br /> Finance Committee Members Present: Deirdre Greelish, Vice- <br /> Chairman; Denise Sullivan; John Ferriday; Roger Dunivan and Marcia <br /> King. Dan Goggin and Tony Gallo were unable to attend. <br /> Board of Selectmen Present: Jim Vaccaro, Chairman; Nancy Caffyn; <br /> Judy Mills and George Costa. Robert Whritenour, Executive <br /> Secretary was also present, as well as Diane Rommelmeyer, Town <br /> Accountant. <br /> Please note for the record that this meeting was not taped by the <br /> Finance Committee's Recording Secretary. The meeting was taped, <br /> however, by the Recording Secretary for the Board of Selectmen. <br /> MINUTES <br /> The Minutes of March 24, 1994 have not yet been approved. <br /> FY95 OMNIBUS ARTICLE <br /> The joint meeting between the Finance Committee and the Board of <br /> Selectmen was scheduled in order that the budget could be <br /> discussed. It was decided that the two boards would discuss only <br /> the departments where there were any differences with their <br /> recommendations. <br /> SELECTMEN <br /> There was a difference of $25,000 between the Board of Selectmen's <br /> recommendation and the Finance Committee's recommendation. Due to <br /> copying requests, the recording secretary missed the decision of <br /> whether the Finance Committee would keep their recommendation of <br /> $130,000 or increase it by $25,000. <br /> FINANCE COMMITTEE <br /> The Finance Committee is recommending $10,000. The Selectmen are <br /> recommending $0.00. <br /> TREASURER/TAX COLLECTOR <br /> The Finance Committee is recommending $980 less in the salary- <br /> elected line item. Ms. Greelish explained that this was because <br /> the Finance Committee is not recommending increases in elected <br /> positions. Ms. Greelish explained difference of $600 in Expenses <br /> was due to $500 being taken out of seminars and meetings and $100 <br /> out of travelling expense to the rotary to make deposits. Ms. <br /> Greelish explained that the Finance Committee was surprised that a <br /> police officer would not be making the deposits anymore. Mr. <br />
