NASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES APRIL 4, 1994 MEETING COMMENCED AT 6:00PN Finance Committee Members Present: Deirdre Greelish, Vice- Chairman; Denise Sullivan; John Ferriday; Roger Dunivan and Marcia King. Dan Goggin and Tony Gallo were unable to attend. Board of Selectmen Present: Jim Vaccaro, Chairman; Nancy Caffyn; Judy Mills and George Costa. Robert Whritenour, Executive Secretary was also present, as well as Diane Rommelmeyer, Town Accountant. Please note for the record that this meeting was not taped by the Finance Committee's Recording Secretary. The meeting was taped, however, by the Recording Secretary for the Board of Selectmen. MINUTES The Minutes of March 24, 1994 have not yet been approved. FY95 OMNIBUS ARTICLE The joint meeting between the Finance Committee and the Board of Selectmen was scheduled in order that the budget could be discussed. It was decided that the two boards would discuss only the departments where there were any differences with their recommendations. SELECTMEN There was a difference of $25,000 between the Board of Selectmen's recommendation and the Finance Committee's recommendation. Due to copying requests, the recording secretary missed the decision of whether the Finance Committee would keep their recommendation of $130,000 or increase it by $25,000. FINANCE COMMITTEE The Finance Committee is recommending $10,000. The Selectmen are recommending $0.00. TREASURER/TAX COLLECTOR The Finance Committee is recommending $980 less in the salary- elected line item. Ms. Greelish explained that this was because the Finance Committee is not recommending increases in elected positions. Ms. Greelish explained difference of $600 in Expenses was due to $500 being taken out of seminars and meetings and $100 out of travelling expense to the rotary to make deposits. Ms. Greelish explained that the Finance Committee was surprised that a police officer would not be making the deposits anymore. Mr.
