MASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> APRIL 5, 1994 <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 7:OOPM <br /> Members Present: Deirdre Greelish, Vice Chairman; Denise Sullivan; <br /> John Ferriday; Marcia King and Roger Dunivan. Tony Gallo and Dan <br /> Goggin were unable to attend. <br /> Please note for the record that the taping of this meeting was for <br /> the transcription of the Minutes only. Once the Minutes are <br /> approved, the tapes will be reused. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Marcia King MOTIONED to approve the Minutes of April 4, 1994 as <br /> written. Denise Sullivan seconded the Motion and members voted in <br /> approval 5-0. Marcia King MOTIONED to approve the Minutes of March <br /> 24, 1994 with a change on page 4, Paragraph 6. The amount placed <br /> into Stabilization last October was actually $554,000, the Minutes <br /> stated $324,000. Denise Sullivan seconded the Motion and members <br /> approved the Minutes by a vote of 5-0. <br /> Police Chief, Curtis Frye, was present at the meeting to discuss <br /> transfer requests from the Reserve Fund for his Department. <br /> RESERVE FUND TRANSFER REQUESTS <br /> The first request was for the amount of $5,000 to be transferred to <br /> the Patrolmen and Sergeants Salary and Wage Account for the purpose <br /> of maintaining three officers minimum for each shift. Presently <br /> there are two officers on extended injury leave. The Finance <br /> Committee voted approvingly 5-0 in transferring $5,000 to the <br /> Patrolmen and Sergeants' Salary and Wage Account. <br /> The second request was to transfer $9,548 to the Public Safety <br /> Dispatchers Full and Part Time Salary and Wage Account. The reason <br /> that this transfer is necessary is due to the high turnover rate of <br /> part time dispatchers. The Finance Committee voted approvingly 5-0 <br /> of granting this transfer request. The amount of $9,548 will be <br /> taken from the Reserve Account and placed in the Dispatchers' Full <br /> and Part Time Salary and Wage Account. <br /> The third request was for the amount of $7,500 to be transferred <br /> from the Reserve Account and placed into the patrolmen and <br /> Sergeants' Salary and Wage Account for the purpose of drunk driving <br /> and speed reinforcement surveillance in the months of May and June <br /> 1994 ($5,000 drunk driving and $2 ,500 speed reinforcement) . The <br /> Finance Committee disapproved this transfer request by a vote of 5- <br /> 0. They asked that Chief Frye keep this as an Article in the <br /> Special Town Meeting Warrant. <br /> There will also be an Article remaining on the Special Town Meeting <br />
