MASHPEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> JUNE 14 , 1994 <br /> MEETING COMMENCED AT 7 :OOPM <br /> Members present: Dan Goggin, Chairman; Marcia King, Vice Chairman; <br /> Denise Sullivan; John Ferriday and Juan Bacigalupi . Tony Gallo was <br /> unable to attend. A memo sent to Judy Mills, Chairman, Board of <br /> Selectmen, was read to the Committee indicating that Roger Dunivan <br /> had resigned from the Finance Committee. <br /> Please note for the record that the taping of this meeting was for <br /> the transcription of the Minutes only. Once the Minutes are <br /> approved, the tapes will be reused. <br /> MINUTES <br /> Marcia King MOTIONED to accept the Minutes of May 24, 1994. Juan <br /> Bacigalupi seconded the Motion and members voted in approval of the <br /> Minutes as written 5-0. <br /> RESERVE FUND TRANSFER REQUESTS <br /> The first request to the Finance Committee was from the Police <br /> Department. The Department is seeking $1 ,500 to be transferred <br /> from the Reserve Fund to the Police Dispatchers' Overtime Wage <br /> Account for the unanticipated reason of Emergency 911 Training. <br /> The two dispatchers present at the meeting explained that they <br /> expected 911 to begin its service in the fall. They also explained <br /> that presently they dispatch not only the Police emergencies but <br /> emergencies for the Fire Department, Harbormaster, Shellfish, <br /> Animal Control , etc. They explained that it was essential to have <br /> two dispatchers per shift through the summer, and without this <br /> $1,500 the Police Department could not afford to do this. <br /> John Ferriday MOTIONED to transfer $1 ,500 from the Reserve Fund to <br /> the Police Dispatchers' Overtime Wage Account. Juan Bacigalupi <br /> seconded the Motion and members voted unanimously in favor of the <br /> transfer. <br /> There was also a request made by the Board of Selectmen requesting <br /> $22,000 be placed into the Legal , Engineering and Consulting <br /> Account in order to pay for legal bills for the remainder of the <br /> year. <br /> The Finance Committee agreed to hold this discussion until the next <br /> meeting. <br /> CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Mr. Goggin discussed correspondence which the Committee received_ <br /> There was a memo from Diane Rommelmeyer, Town Accountant regarding <br /> Encumbrances for FY94. There was also a memo from Ms. Rommelmeyer <br />
