TOWN OF MASHPEE DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING May 13 , .1998 The Design Review Committee met at 6 : 30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13 , 1998 at the Lower Level of Mashpee Town Hall. Committee Members Presents William Hauck, Ex Officio; Ed Govoni, Chairman; Mary LeBlanc; Thomas F. O'Hara. Absent: Patrick Coffey 1. Bob Scozari, Boat Storage, Lot #27, industrial Park Mr. Scozari requested the committee' s input on landscaping. Photos showed the lot as it presently looks. Plans call for a chain link fence to be installed and indigenous species planted. It was suggested a 10 ft. clearing is unnecessary; a 2 ft. clearing is enough space in which to install a fence. The preference is to maintain a natural buffer; supplemental planting may be necessary. Once the fence is installed, members will take a look at it. Mr. Scozari said he will obtain a Use-Permit and will bring in proof of recording. 2 . The Woman' s Body Shopp, Route 130, Susan Hughes The revised plans for the fagade and roof did not meet with approval. Ms. Hughes agreed to make changes to the false mansard and roof line and return in two weeks. It was suggested she arrive 15 minutes prior to the meeting in order to discuss changes. Placement of light poles, type of lighting and illumination from the ground were reviewed. Ornamental trees, 3 " and 4" caliber oaks and maples will be planted; some existing trees will remain. All agreed a good, natural buffer is preferred. No lawn is planned. Seven flower boxes will be installed. i The 20 sq. ft. sign will be beige with teal lettering and white posts. Photos will be presented at the next meeting. It was strongly suggested to look at where the utilities are coming in and talk about limits of clearing at the next meeting.
