Mashpee Design Review Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Held Thursday, August 26, 2010 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 3 <br /> Committee Members Present: Thomas O'Hara and Robert Nelson. <br /> Also Present: Richard Stevens. <br /> Absent: Tom Jalowy and George Petersen, Jr. <br /> Audience: Theresa Cook— Board of Selectmen <br /> Michael Richardson —'Board of Selectmen <br /> Thomas O'Hara called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m. <br /> Siqns <br /> Sea Mist Resort <br /> 141 great Neck Road South <br /> Location of Sign <br /> Mike Caggiano of Plymouth Sign and John Livingston, General Manager, Sea Mist appeared. Mike <br /> Caggiano said they have a permit on the sign and when they went to install the sign they felt moving <br /> it over to the other side of the entrance would be more visible and safer. Bob Nelson pointed out that <br /> one problem is that the sign should not be located closer than 5 feet to any road line so he would like <br /> -to-know that it is 5 feet from the road. Bob added that for safety it should really be 5 feet away from <br /> the-bike-path-since_they-do plow-the-bike path-so-it makes-more-sense-if-they-are 5-feet-back-from-the— <br /> path it would be better. <br /> Mike Caggiano said the total square feet is 30 square feet. Tom O'Hara said this Board cannot <br /> approve above 20 square feet in a residential development. Tom said to seek relief applicant would <br /> have to go to Selectmen or ZBA. Bob Nelson said he has no argument with the sign, but they do <br /> have to comply with the law. Rich Stevens referred them to Tom Fudala to check whether special <br /> permit had ever been issued. <br /> Conclusion: Applicant will figure out exact measurements of the sign and will return to <br /> Design Review with more accurate measurements. Applicant will find the lot line and will hold <br /> 5 feet back from the lot line. <br /> Theresa Cook exited the meeting. <br /> South Cape Village <br /> 650 Falmouth Road <br /> Replacement Signs for the Entrance <br /> Melinda Gallant and Mike Caggiano appeared. Melinda Gallant said they are looking to replace signs <br /> in the exact same location. She showed pictures of current signs and said they do not do justice to <br /> business there and the signs are in dis-repair. She said they want to use real logo and colors they <br /> use for their branding purposes. Melinda Gallant said they want to make it look these are permanent; <br /> current signage looks like more temporary signage. Total of 3 double-faced signs at each entrance. <br />
