<br /> Rarbara Pocknott, Town Accountant, was present to discuss her request to have
<br /> her previously approved vacation (nine days, 12/75) changed to sick leave since she
<br /> was ill during this time, and under. a doctor's care. The Board will grant. five
<br /> vacation days to be carried over,to 1976. It was the Board's understanding that
<br /> these days are to be taken after annual town meeting.
<br /> Concerning the 217 appropriated. at 1975 Annual Town Meeting for cost of
<br /> living raise for town employees, Nor. Clendenin will meet with Mrs. Pocknett within
<br /> the next few weeks to discuss actual breakdown of this figure.
<br /> There was a discussion of the Salary Administration Plan as approved at public
<br /> hearing on November 1, 1973, A letter from the Board of Selectmen to Personnel
<br /> Board was noted , dated. February 6,' 1974 approving this SAP. Conies of this November,
<br /> 1973 SAP were prepared by Mr. Clendenin to replace the booklet form, dated June, 1973,
<br /> which inadvertantly has been circulated.
<br /> There was a discussion of SAP revision, which will probably be started sometime "
<br /> after Annual Town Meeting, 1976.
<br /> The bargaining committee of the Mashpee Police Association was present (Messrs,
<br /> Vernon Thomas, David .Aitchison, and Fred Peters) to discuss ground rules for contract
<br /> bargaining. Number 11 from previous- ground. rules has been omitted. Topics which.
<br /> will be changed were noted. The Police Association will give the Personnel Board
<br /> its draft of new contract by Februax7r 11, 1976 for review by Personnel Board. and
<br /> . Board's attorney. Tentative date for next meeting has been set for March 1, 1976, 7 p.m.
<br /> There was a discussion of the vacation schedule for police department as' pasted
<br /> by Chief Bingham. Personnel Board has gone; over these figures `in!relatio.n to its own
<br /> records and police contract, and .a�-6o.rrected-vacation schedule will be submitted to
<br /> Chief Bingham upon his .return from vacation.
<br /> It was noted that .Chester aBrown tri.l_l he 'away frorr February 124�until April 5, 1976.
<br /> Regarding Albert Gonsalves' -request to have his previously; approved vacation
<br /> (December, 1975) changed, to si.k',)ea-P, tithe Board, granted this iri light of the fact
<br /> that Mr. Gonsalves was ill- from- a- period before`.his vacation. was to have 'started, until.
<br /> after vacation was to have been cnznpletecd. These days will 'be�carried over to 1976.
<br /> A Letter will be sent to George Green, Highway Tepartment, noting that in our
<br /> approval of Helen Yondochriste's leave of absence without nay, Board had approved
<br /> Maxi DePalma's filling in for Mrs. Kondochriste only for the .period 2/25 and 2/26/76.
<br /> Regarding Conservation Commission's letter of January 29, 1976 and its proposed
<br /> anti ol_e -for a full-time Consorvation Officer,�a letter will be sent suggesting that
<br /> the Commission furnish the Board with an outline of the proposed duties a.�d re.slbn-
<br /> sibilities, together with anyrelevant data, Also , since Mr, I7axim, of the- Personnel
<br /> Board and the Conservation Commission had indicated .that a job description had been
<br /> formulated for this no.sition, the _Po'ard will suggest that this eight be forwarded as
<br /> either a guideline and/or for poard's review and approval, An appointment will be
