MINUTES February 26, 1998 6 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Ball commented, "The system could be relocated to the front of the lot." <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "In the proposed location there is not 4' of naturally <br /> occurring permeable soil between the bottom of the leaching facility and groundwater." <br /> Board members agreed to require the applicant to either install a denitrification <br /> unit in the proposed location of the leaching facility or relocate the system in an area <br /> towards the front of the lot which can maintain 4"of permeable soil between the bottom of <br /> the leaching facility and groundwater. <br /> 12.) Hazardous materials management report Mashpee High School - Mr. McQuaid <br /> stated, 'Mr. Evans and I met with Dr. DeMoura regarding the Cape Cod Commission's <br /> requirement's in the handling and management of hazardous waste at the High School." <br /> "I referred this to Marina Brock from the County who was more than happy to visit the <br /> school." "She has submitted this report and will follow-up as needed." <br /> *****OLD BUSINESS***** <br /> Tobacco Sales Regulation <br /> ation <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to adopt the regulation as an addendum to the existing <br /> Smoking Regulation, Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed. (The regulation is attached to the <br /> end of these minutes.) <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to require a annual fee of $5.00 for the sale of Tobacco <br /> products in the town of Mashpee, Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed. <br /> Floor Drain Re lgu ation <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated, "I recommend the Board adopt the regulation, once adopted <br /> I will forward a copy of the regulation to each business that may or may not have floor <br /> drains." "In my opinion, this regulation will not affect many establishments." "I will also <br /> forward copies to the marina's." <br /> Mr. Doherty motioned to adopt the Floor Drain Regulation as prepared by Mr. <br /> McQuaid, Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed. (The regulation is attached to the end of these <br /> minutes.) <br />
