MINUTES February 26, 1998 6 BOARD OF HEALTH Mr. Ball commented, "The system could be relocated to the front of the lot." Mr. McQuaid stated, "In the proposed location there is not 4' of naturally occurring permeable soil between the bottom of the leaching facility and groundwater." Board members agreed to require the applicant to either install a denitrification unit in the proposed location of the leaching facility or relocate the system in an area towards the front of the lot which can maintain 4"of permeable soil between the bottom of the leaching facility and groundwater. 12.) Hazardous materials management report Mashpee High School - Mr. McQuaid stated, 'Mr. Evans and I met with Dr. DeMoura regarding the Cape Cod Commission's requirement's in the handling and management of hazardous waste at the High School." "I referred this to Marina Brock from the County who was more than happy to visit the school." "She has submitted this report and will follow-up as needed." *****OLD BUSINESS***** Tobacco Sales Regulation ation Mr. Doherty motioned to adopt the regulation as an addendum to the existing Smoking Regulation, Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed. (The regulation is attached to the end of these minutes.) Mr. Doherty motioned to require a annual fee of $5.00 for the sale of Tobacco products in the town of Mashpee, Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed. Floor Drain Re lgu ation Mr. McQuaid stated, "I recommend the Board adopt the regulation, once adopted I will forward a copy of the regulation to each business that may or may not have floor drains." "In my opinion, this regulation will not affect many establishments." "I will also forward copies to the marina's." Mr. Doherty motioned to adopt the Floor Drain Regulation as prepared by Mr. McQuaid, Mr. Cram seconded, all agreed. (The regulation is attached to the end of these minutes.)
