2
4. Copy of letter from Louise Orellana-Delahantv re: 72 Old Colony Drive
Ms. Warden stated that she has tried on numerous occasions, in person, to reach the
resident at this address regarding her complaints.
Steve.Ball made a suggestion that the BOH try to reach her by certified mail. Ms.
Warden didn't believe that she was physically at 72 Old Colony Drive address at this
time.
Mr. Doherty directed Ms. Warden to put her notes together regarding specific dates,
what actions were taken right from the original contact and inspection along with the
date that she sent the letter out to the landlord citing specific violations. Also, the dates
that Ms. Warden went back and attempts to leave phone messages. Mr. Doherty wants
to have the information in hand if she goes forward with her threats to contact the
media with her issues.
APPOINTMENT: Cape & Islands Eng. re: Dicussion on Stendal Village Condominiums
Mr. David Sanicki of Cape &Islands Engineering was in attendance for this scheduled
appointment along with James F. McCarthy, a trustee of Stendal Village
Condominiums.
Mr. Sanicki presented two separate plans regarding the ongoing discussion over the
sewage plan for the Shore Drive location.
The first plan recommended using five separate systems one for each of the
condominiums. There would however, be two different systems, some would get
denitrification units and the others would not.
Mr. Doherty advised Mr. Sanicki that the BOH viewed the whole project as one entity
and he would like to see denitrification units servicing the entire complex. Therefore,
the first design would not work.
Mr. Sanicki presented the second plan. The water service would come in over by the
parking lot. It would be one system for the entire condominium facility. The treatment
portion would be downhill from the system and the solids would have to be pressured
doused to the manifold system. All of the tanks would have to be pulled. He doesn't
have enough room in-between or in back of the buildings. He would have to relocate
both gas and waterlines. He would require a variance because of the close proximity to
the coastal bank. The parameters of the State and the Conservation Department would
also need to be considered.
Mr. Doherty again advised Mr. Sanicki that they look at the project as a whole. He
suggested to Mr. Sanicki that they would take the first plan design under
condsideration if he were to denite each system. He recommended that Mr. Sanicki,
"Ask yourself and ask your client whether maintaining multiple systems is better than
maintaining one large system." The cost and benefits should be weighed regarding each
choice.
Ms. Warden then presented a third plan that she, Charlotte Stiefel and George
