i
• TOWN OF MASHPEE
PERSONNEL BOARD
Minutes of Meeting, June 30, 1975, 7:30 p.m.
PRESENT: R. Graham, W. Clendenin, R. Maxim, C. .Brown
Mr. Cortland Naegelin and his daughter, Terry, were, present
to discuss the fact that Terry was not hired as a lifeguard for
the 1975 season with the Town of Mashpee. Mr. Naegelin was told
that the Personnel Board had reviewed carefully the many
applications received for this position, and had made their
recommendations to the Board of Selectmen for their approval.
It was stressed that the Personnel Board does not make the
final decisions in these matters, and Mr. Naegelin said he
would therefore take up the matter with the Selectmen.
Regarding George Costa's employment status, there was a
discussion`of'the facts of the situation, and several matters
will be researched before anything can be decided. A letter
will be sent to Chief Bingham, requesting Mr. Costa's address.
It was unanimously voted not to meet, under any circum-
stances, with the Board of Selectmen at their Wednesday night
• meetings. Meetings will only be scheduled on Mondays, or
on another night mutually agreeable to both Boards.
A bill from Mr. Sanford Kowal, attorney for the Personnel
Board in their negotiations with the Fire Department, will be
sent to the Selectmen for payment from the Legal Account. This
bill, for services to date, was in the amount of $440.
Having no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
jsa
•
