OPINING OF MEETING - <br />Maureen Paxton opened the meeting at 6:30 PM at the Mashpee Middle School Room 133. <br />II. SECRETARY'S REPORT - Meeting of March 5, 1996 - Pat Riley made a motion to approve the <br />Minutes of the meeting of March 5, 1996. Linda Young seconded. Motion carried. <br />III. COMMUNICATIONS - <br />1. Letter from Ellie Hatcher - Gus passed out a letter from Ellie Hatcher which praises our <br />KKPS program. Other complimentary letters were also passed out for review. Gus <br />mentioned that he received a letter from Holiday Estates regarding parents leaving kids <br />off for swim lessons and then not picking them up on time. Also parents would take out <br />magazines and not return them, and park in handicap spots. Next season Gus plans to <br />have parents sign a sheet which will clearly state the guidelines. <br />2. Tom Cahir Letter - JTEC - Gus discussed letter from Tom Cahir regarding JTEC. Gus <br />discussed update on the situation on fields at Otis. Trying to establish an area on Otis for <br />soccer and Baseball fields for kids. It would be for upper Cape usage. We are looking at <br />the landfill area to develop for future Mashpee fields. Gus mentioned he put in for a <br />group of kids to work. There would be a group of 6 with a supervisor. Last year Rick <br />York used a group but is unable to use them this year. Gus has asked for more kids from <br />Mashpee. This would run through Barnstable County. <br />IV. REPORTS - <br />A. OLD BUSINESS - Updates <br />1. Spring Programming - Gus passed out Activities and Planning sheet for review. Some <br />things mentioned were block parties, tickets to Paw Sox Game on July 29 . The Youth <br />Center will be held at Heritage Park during the summer months. Gus mentioned that <br />Solutions is starting up again. They are working on establishing Calendar of Events. <br />The Quonset Hut is ready to be taken apart. Foundation still needs to be in place. <br />Gus passed out Revolving Account update sheet for review and <br />discussion. <br />2. High School Building Usage - Paperwork will be completed for review. <br />3. Computerized Recreation Registrations - Gus will contact Pat Riley about meeting on <br />May 29. <br />
