G 1--r r/C <br />LEISURE SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING <br />NNE 4. 1996 <br />MASHPEE MIDDLE SCHOOL <br />Present: <br />Maureen Panton <br />Kim Whitney <br />Linda Young <br />Pat Riley <br />Terrie Cook <br />Ken Marsters <br />Sheila Arnold <br />Absent: <br />Ron Roberts <br />Also Present <br />John Williams <br />Gus Frederick <br />Opening of Meeting - <br />Maureen Paxton opened the meeting at 6:30 PM. <br />V Other Business - (This was taken out of context in order to take care of <br />reappointments.) Maureen Paxton has made a decision not to be reappointed to <br />another term. Maureen would like to stay on until a replacement is found. <br />Maureen would like to be involved with Friend's of Mashpee Leisure Services. <br />Maureen introduced Ken Marsters to everyone. Maureen explained how the <br />terms on the Leisure Services Advisory Council work. After a brief discussion, <br />Linda Young made a motion to have Shiela Arnold as the neat Chairman of the <br />Leisure Services Advisory Council. Pat Riley seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />Maureen Paxton made a motion to have Pat Riley as vice Chairman. Linda Young <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />I I Secretary's Report - Minutes of May 14, 1996 <br />Pat Riley made a motion to approve the Minutes of the Meeting of May 14, 1996. <br />Ken Marsters seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />III Communications - Gus passed out memo from the Partnership and explained a <br />new organization will be started as the 5 years is up for the original Partner- <br />ship to Reduce Substance Abuse. Annual meeting will be held on June 11 at <br />11:30. <br />Gus passed out a memo which indicates the change in dates for the July and <br />August meetings of Leisure Services Advisory Council. They will be held on the <br />second Tuesday of each month. <br />IV Reports - <br />A. Old Business <br />1. Recycling Proiect at Landfill. Gus went over the footing detail and discussed <br />the Quonset Hut that will be moved to the landfill. Some of the steel will be <br />delivered on Friday. Bob Sullivan is working with military to move this Quonset <br />
