G 1--r r/C LEISURE SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING NNE 4. 1996 MASHPEE MIDDLE SCHOOL Present: Maureen Panton Kim Whitney Linda Young Pat Riley Terrie Cook Ken Marsters Sheila Arnold Absent: Ron Roberts Also Present John Williams Gus Frederick Opening of Meeting - Maureen Paxton opened the meeting at 6:30 PM. V Other Business - (This was taken out of context in order to take care of reappointments.) Maureen Paxton has made a decision not to be reappointed to another term. Maureen would like to stay on until a replacement is found. Maureen would like to be involved with Friend's of Mashpee Leisure Services. Maureen introduced Ken Marsters to everyone. Maureen explained how the terms on the Leisure Services Advisory Council work. After a brief discussion, Linda Young made a motion to have Shiela Arnold as the neat Chairman of the Leisure Services Advisory Council. Pat Riley seconded the motion. Motion carried. Maureen Paxton made a motion to have Pat Riley as vice Chairman. Linda Young seconded the motion. Motion carried. I I Secretary's Report - Minutes of May 14, 1996 Pat Riley made a motion to approve the Minutes of the Meeting of May 14, 1996. Ken Marsters seconded the motion. Motion carried. III Communications - Gus passed out memo from the Partnership and explained a new organization will be started as the 5 years is up for the original Partner- ship to Reduce Substance Abuse. Annual meeting will be held on June 11 at 11:30. Gus passed out a memo which indicates the change in dates for the July and August meetings of Leisure Services Advisory Council. They will be held on the second Tuesday of each month. IV Reports - A. Old Business 1. Recycling Proiect at Landfill. Gus went over the footing detail and discussed the Quonset Hut that will be moved to the landfill. Some of the steel will be delivered on Friday. Bob Sullivan is working with military to move this Quonset
