Presentation of past projects and experience on the
letter sent to firms. Bill Jones seconded the motion .
All Committee members were in favor 7-0.
Mr. Dinizio will be sure the Mashpee Middle School is available.
Mr. Dinizio read a letter from Earl Flansburg to the Committee
regarding the litigation his firm is involved in with the Town of
Belmont.
WARRANTS TO BE PAID
The Town received a bill from Casey & Dennis, the appraisal firm,
for $22, 500. The Executive Secretary is asking this Committee
recommend that the bill be paid, based on completion of the work.
Many of the Committee members did not see the final work.
Ms. Ahlgren noted, according to the Executive Secretary the work
was completed , satisfactorily. Mr. Griffin added , based on the
interview with the appraiser, the Committee determined the work
was done in an adequate manner.
** Mr. Griffin made a motion to recommend the Selectmen pay
the $22 , 500 Casey and Dennis bill . Ms. Ahlgren seconded
the motion.
Discussion:
Mr. Greelish stated the contract was executed by the Executive
Secretary and in compliance with his wishes. We are just
recommending our piece of it.
The Committee agreed the appraiser met the needs of this
Committee.
** All members were in favor 7-0. **
The town received a bill from DRA for $47 ,675 which the Executive
Secretary has approved and an additional $509 . 90. There was an
additional $106 for reprographics for extra report copies.
** Mr. Greelish made a motion to recommend the Selectmen pay
the DRA bill of $48, 184. 90. Ms. Ahlgren seconded the
motion. All members were in favor 7-0.
NEW BUSINESS
PROJECT MANAGER
Mr. Griffin suggesting having the project manager do two things
which are not presently in the scope of work 1 . review of
drawings that are in Architect's bid, can be put into project
manager responsibility. The project manager can then review them
on a constant basis. 2 . Clerk of the works can work for the
project manager. This is all predicated on whether we like the
job the project manager does.
Mr. Greelish thinks this Committee should have the ultimate
selection of the reviewing body for structural , mechanical
drawings. He thinks it should be separate from the project
2
