MASHPEE SEWER COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> July 17,2007 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Present: Tom Fudala, Matt Berelli <br /> Status of Stearns&Where work on Watershed Nitrogen Management Plan <br /> Monthly report has been received <br /> Invoice for$7491 for work on needs assessment and technology screening. <br /> S&W is waiting for the George Heufelder report, which is due the end of July for finalizing technology <br /> screening. <br /> S&W sent Pio Lombardo a disk of materials he has asked for. <br /> They anticipate presenting the draft scenarios at the Sept. meeting. <br /> ** Matt made a motion to pay Stearns&Wheler's invoice for$7,491.Tom seconded the motion. All <br /> members were in favor 2-0** <br /> Members voted at the last meeting to send in their membership to the Water Environment Federation. <br /> Tom and Matt signed this voucher tonight. <br /> Public Information subcontract with Regina Villa: scope of work includes 4 brochures, poster/display <br /> boards,TV/video—they are working with Maxine at the cable station. <br /> Provided 2 sample brochures of the work they did for town of Dennis. <br /> Tom asked Matt to take the lead on this. <br /> Main question is when do the brochures go out? The first brochures should be a description of needs <br /> and a description of what the Sewer Commission is doing. <br /> Matt will review the scope and follow up with Jeff Gregg. <br /> New Seabury contact Tom and they are interested in sending information to the Peninsula Council.Tom <br /> will add them to the mailing list. <br /> Vantage Graphics: is the new minority contractor for printing. <br /> SMAST Study Contract: work is complete but they have not been paid and Tom has not heard from <br /> them. <br /> Popponesset Bay Pilot Project: Jim Hanks has a power point presentation which will be used to explain <br /> the 49.2%allocation approach—fairly allocating clean up-to Mashpee Selectmen and surrounding <br /> towns. <br /> High School Treatment Plant: they received an updated discharge permit which they are appealing. <br /> They are also considering trying to switch to a septic system. <br /> There are many options for that plant: <br /> -Tom explained that Mashpee Village has to re-finance and a requirement is to add a treatment plant, <br /> which they are putting off for a couple of years. Tom mentioned the possibility of tying into the high <br /> school plan or Southport. <br />
