Town of Mashpee <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Minutes <br /> Wednesday, January 24, 1996 <br /> The Mashpee Board of Appeals held a meeting on Wednesday, January 24, 1996 at 7:30 <br /> P.M. at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board Members present and acting throughout were <br /> Edward M. Govoni, Chairman; James E. Regan, III, Clerk and Associate Member <br /> Kenneth E. Marsters. Members absent were: Cheryl A. Hawver, John J. Friel and Robert <br /> G. Nelson. Building Inspector William F. Hauck was in attendance. . <br /> James M. Langbert -Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning <br /> By-laws for permission to construct a 38 foot ramp and float in Spoondrift Cove on <br /> property located in an R-3 zoning district at 26 Spoondrift Circle (Map 111, Block 120) <br /> Mashpee, MA. <br /> Members sitting: E. Govoni, J. Regan, K. Marsters <br /> Engineer David Sanicki represented the applicant and reviewed plans of an existing <br /> bulkhead with a new ramp and float which are now angled into Spoondrift Cove. He <br /> stated that Conservation has approved the plans. Mr. Govoni moved to grant the Special <br /> Permit and noted that the project had been approved by the Harbormaster and Shellfish <br /> Constable. Mr. Regan seconded. All agreed. <br /> John J. Trotto -Requests a Special Permit under Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By- <br /> laws for permission to construct a 65 foot pier, ramp and float in Shoestring Bay on <br /> property located in an R-3 zoning district at 58 Quaker Run Road (Map 90, Block 47) <br /> Mashpee, MA. . <br /> Members sitting: E. Govoni, J. Regan, K. Marsters <br /> Engineer J. Hunter represented the Applicant and informed the Board that the applicant <br /> had reduced the size of the pier from 104' to 65'. He said Conservation has continued the <br /> hearing awaiting a study by a marine biologist to study the marine sediments. Mr. Govoni <br /> explained that both the Shellfish Constable and the Harbormaster have approved the plans. <br /> Mr. Hunter said the biologist's study will be done soon. <br /> Mr. Govoni moved to take the application under advisement awaiting comments from the <br /> Conservation Commission. Mr. Marsters seconded. All agreed. <br /> Andrew and Gloria A. Kariotis -Request a Variance from Section 174-25.I.9 of the <br /> Zoning By-laws for permission to exceed the 70 foot dock length limit to allow for the <br /> extension of an existing dock to 96 feet on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 67 <br /> Tide Run (Map 125, Block 251)Mashpee, MA. <br />
