BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES - REGULAR SESSION <br /> MONDAY, MARCH 12, 1990 <br /> PAGE THREE <br /> OTHER OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1 . WATER LEVEL - JOHN'S POND - Mr. Hanson stated that he <br /> received a phone call relative to the water level of John's <br /> Pond. Mr. Hanson directed Mr. Harrington to send a <br /> memorandum to the Conservation Commission to advise Bob <br /> Sherman of the notification process (to Ernie Virgilio) . <br /> when the level is above the high point. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1 . BUFFLEHEAD BAY ADVISORY COMMITTEE - Terry Hollis attended <br /> to request that the Town formally recognize this group by a <br /> resolution duly voted by the Selectmen. There was a <br /> discussion relative to whether it was necessary to take a <br /> formal vote on the matter. Mr. Reardon stated that the <br /> Committee may want official recognition from the Town so <br /> that they may act as a spokesperson for the various. groups <br /> that they represent. <br /> Mr. Hanson moved that the Board resolve to recognize the <br /> existence of the Bufflehead Bay Advisory Committee. Mr. <br /> Lawrence seconded the motion and Mrs . Jacobson was in <br /> favor. Mr. Carter was not present for the vote. <br /> Mr . Reardon suggested that a liaison from the Town be <br /> appointed. The Board agreed that Mr. Harrington should be <br /> appointed as that liaison. <br /> Mrs. Jacobson requested copies of minutes of past and <br /> future meetings of the Committee. <br /> 2. EARTH DAY - Mr. Lawrence moved to designate April 22, 1990 <br /> as Earth Day 1990. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion and Mrs. <br /> Jacobson was in favor. Mr. Carter was not present for the <br /> vote. <br />
