3 Board of Selectmen Minutes April 12, 2004 APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: Mashpee Community Concert Committee, Inc. —Request for One-Day License: Selectman Marsters stepped down for the above referenced agenda topic. Representatives from the Mashpee Community Concert Committee were present to request the Selectmen approve a one-day wine and malt license for the annual Mashpee Night at the Pops concert to be held on Saturday, July 31, 2004 with a rain date of August 1, 2004 at Mashpee Commons. The popular event is a free concert by the Cape Symphony Orchestra that is followed by an outstanding fireworks display. The Selectmen were requested to waive all Town fees associated to the event with the exception of the cost for Police and Fire personnel. The MCCC is a non-profit entity. Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the request of the Mashpee Community Concert Committee for a one-day wine and malt license on Saturday,July 31,2004 with a rain date of August 1, 2004, and waive all Town fees associated to the event with the exception of Police and Fire personnel. Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. Selectman Marsters abstained. Mashpee Chamber of Commerce—Request for One-day License: Heidi Trottier, Mashpee Chamber of Commerce was present to request the Selectmen approve a one-day license for the Night of 100 Wines event under the festival tent at Mashpee Commons on Saturday, June 5, 2004 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will benefit the Mashpee Chambers scholastic awards program and its community projects. Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the request of the Chamber of Commerce for a one-day license for the Night of 100 Wines event on June 5,2004 in Mashpee Commons. Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0.
