;9x41 Page 9 Article 27 continued January lb, 1974 (d) That,the Town vote by ballot, pursuant to General Laws, Chapter 41, Section 21, to have its Selectmen appoint a Superintendent of Streets in place of the presently elected Highway Surveyor. Action: Amended to read: To see if the Town will vote to have placed on the official ballot at the next annual meeting the question as to whether or not the Town shall vote to have its Selectmen appoint a Superintendent of Streets. Motion duly made and seconded to accept the article as amended. The motion passed. (e) That the Toon vote by ballot, pursuant to General Laws, Chapter 41, Section 21, to have its Selectmen appoint a Tree Warden in place of the presently elected warden. Action: Amended to read: To see if the Toon will vote to have placed on the official ballot at the next annual meeting the question as to whether or not the Town shall vote to have its Selectmen appoint a Tree Warden. Motion duly made and seconded to accept the article as amended. The motion passed. (f) That the Finance Committee be chosen by ballot from the Town's registered voters, voting at the polls at the annual meeting. Action; Motion duly made and seconded that no further action be taken at this time. The motion passed. K) ar J (g) That this Committee be authorized to give further study to other areas of the Municipal Government of the Town of Mashpee, including the Office of Assessors. Action: Amended to read: To see if the Town will vote to extend to the 1975 Annual Meeting the term of the Study Committee appointed under Article 18 of the 1973 ' Annual Meeting. Motion duly made and seconded to accept the article as amended. The motion passed. (h) That the substance of the foregoing recommendations be incorporated in articles sufficiently stated so as to be included in the Warrant for a Special Town Meeting. Action: Motion duly made and seconded that no further action be taken at this time. Unanimously voted. Summary of actions taken under Article 27: Articles 27a, c, d, e, g - voted to accept as amended. Articles 27b, f, h - voted no further action at this time. Motion was duly made and seconded that the meeting adjourn at 10:00 p.m. Unanimously voted. And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies thereof, one at the Town Hall, one at the Post Office, and one each on the bulletin boards, seven days at least before said meeting. Hereof fail not and make returns of this warrant with your doings thereon ' to the Town Clerk at the time and place of said meeting.
