;9x41 <br />Page 9 <br />Article 27 continued <br />January lb, 1974 <br />(d) That,the Town vote by ballot, pursuant to General Laws, Chapter 41, <br />Section 21, to have its Selectmen appoint a Superintendent of Streets in place <br />of the presently elected Highway Surveyor. <br />Action: Amended to read: To see if the Town will vote to have placed <br />on the official ballot at the next annual meeting the question as to whether or not <br />the Town shall vote to have its Selectmen appoint a Superintendent of Streets. <br />Motion duly made and seconded to accept the article as amended. The <br />motion passed. <br />(e) That the Toon vote by ballot, pursuant to General Laws, Chapter 41, <br />Section 21, to have its Selectmen appoint a Tree Warden in place of the presently <br />elected warden. <br />Action: Amended to read: To see if the Toon will vote to have placed <br />on the official ballot at the next annual meeting the question as to whether or not <br />the Town shall vote to have its Selectmen appoint a Tree Warden. <br />Motion duly made and seconded to accept the article as amended. The <br />motion passed. <br />(f) That the Finance Committee be chosen by ballot from the Town's <br />registered voters, voting at the polls at the annual meeting. <br />Action; Motion duly made and seconded that no further action be taken <br />at this time. The motion passed. <br />K) <br />ar <br />J <br />(g) That this Committee be authorized to give further study to other areas <br />of the Municipal Government of the Town of Mashpee, including the Office of Assessors. <br />Action: Amended to read: To see if the Town will vote to extend to the 1975 <br />Annual Meeting the term of the Study Committee appointed under Article 18 of the 1973 ' <br />Annual Meeting. <br />Motion duly made and seconded to accept the article as amended. The <br />motion passed. <br />(h) That the substance of the foregoing recommendations be incorporated <br />in articles sufficiently stated so as to be included in the Warrant for a Special <br />Town Meeting. <br />Action: Motion duly made and seconded that no further action be taken <br />at this time. Unanimously voted. <br />Summary of actions taken under Article 27: <br />Articles 27a, c, d, e, g - voted to accept as amended. <br />Articles 27b, f, h - voted no further action at this time. <br />Motion was duly made and seconded that the meeting adjourn at 10:00 p.m. <br />Unanimously voted. <br />And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting up attested copies <br />thereof, one at the Town Hall, one at the Post Office, and one each on the bulletin <br />boards, seven days at least before said meeting. <br />Hereof fail not and make returns of this warrant with your doings thereon ' <br />to the Town Clerk at the time and place of said meeting.
