To see if the Town will vote to make the following changes in the October 27, 1975 Revised Edition of the By -Laws of the Town of Mashpee: Chapter I, Article III, Section 1 -- "These By -Laws may be amended at any Annual Town Meeting provided that an article or articles for that purpose be included in the Town Warrant." by inserting after "annual Town Meeting" the words "or Special Town Meeting". Submitted by the Board of Selectmen. ACTION: Moved and seconded to accept Article 11 as read. Vote carried. ARTICLE 12. To see if the Town will vote to make the following changes in , the October 27, 1975 Revised Edition of the By -Laws of the Town of Mashpee: Chapter II, Article 1, Section 9 --"Commencing in 1975, the Selectmen shall appoint the Superintendent of Streets for a term of one (1) year." by deleting the words "one (1) year" and inserting the words "from one(1) to three (3) years" in place thereof. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen. ACTION: Moved and seconded that Article 12 be tabled. Vote carried. ARTICLE 13. To see if.the'Town will vote to add the following to the October 27, 1975 Revised Edition of the By -Laws of the Town of Mashpee by inserting Chapter II, Article 1, Section15 the following: "The Selectmen shall appoint a Shellfish Constable pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 130, Section 98, for a term of three years." Submitted by the Board of Selectmen. ACTION: Moved and seconded to accept Article 13 as read. Vote carried. ARTICLE 14. To see if the Town will vote to make the following changes in the October 27, 1975 Revised Edition of the By -Laws of the Town of Mashpee: Chapter II, Article XIV, Section 1 - Town Contracts -- "On all contracts for labor, materials, supplies; equipment, merchandise or other artticles, wherein the amount involved is $500.00 or more, the board, department, committee or officials of the town in charge of the expenditure of such money, shall be required to submit the awarding of the same to public bid and no expenditure shall be permitted of $500.00 or in excess thereof unless the same shall have been awarded upon public bid." by deleting $500.00 and by inserting $1,000.00" in place thereof. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen. Not Recommended by Finance Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded that Article 14 be Indefinitely Postponed. Vote carried. ARTICLE 15. To see if the Town will vote to make the following changes in the October 27, 1975 Revised Edition of the By -Laws of the Town of Mashpee: Chapter II, Article XIV, Section 2 -- "All capital expenditures purchases (i.e. desks, chairs, typewriters, cabinets, etc.) of $50.00 or more will be submitted to the Board of Selectmen for approval before the purchase is consummated." by deleting 11$50.00" and by inserting "$150.00" in place thereof. -Submitted by ■ the Board of Selectmen. Recommended by Finance Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to accept Article 15 as read. Vote carried.
