To see if the Town will vote to relinquish maintenance of the telephone pole now located 50' south of the Town Hall to the New Bedford Gas and Edison'Light Company, or take any other action thereon. Submitted b y the Board of Selectmen. ACTION: Moved and seconded to relinquish the pole. Vote carried. ARTICLE 23. To see if the Town will vote to increase the annual compensation of each Selectman to $5,000.00 (five thousand dollars) and, in addition to their present duties, increase their consulting or meeting hours to tw&1ve (12) per week, I of which eight (8) shall be scheduled, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the Municipal Government Study Committee. Not Recommended by Finance Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to table Article 23• Vote carried. ARTICLE 24. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $1,000.00 for Town Hall planning to celebrate this Bicentennial year, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen. Recommended by Finance Committee to Raise and Appropriate $500.00. ACTION: Moved and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $500.00. Vote carried. ARTICLE 25. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $15,000.00 in order to conduct an Annual Town Audit, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen. Recommended by Finance Committee to Raise and Appropriate $10,000.00. ACTION: Moved and seconded to take from available funds the sum of $10,000.00. Vote carried. ARTICLE 26. To see if the Town will vote to establish a Mashpee Airport Commission in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 90, Section 51E or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen. Recommended by Finance Committee. ACTION: Moved and accepted that Article 26 be accepted as read. Vote carried. ARTICLE 27. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $100.00 to be used for expenses of the Mashpee Airport Commission or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen. Recommended by Finance Committee to Raise and Appropriate. ACTION: Moved and seconded to take from available funds the sum of $100.00. Vote carried. ARTICLE 28. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take' from available funds the sum of $20,000.00 to establish a Municipal Equipment Fund or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen. Recommended by Finance Committee. ' ACTION: Moved and seconded to raise and appropriate $20,000.00. Vote carried. ARTICLE 29. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $5,000.00 to establish a Surplus Equipment Account under the control of the Selectmen; said account for purchasing and transporting Government surplus equipment/supplies acquired through Civil Defense Department or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the Board of Selectmen. Recommended by Finance Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to take from available funds the sum of $5,000.00. Vote carried.
