To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Highway Department to hire one full-time skilled equipment laborer and one full-time mechanic to work for the"Highway Department, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the Highway Department. Recommended by Finance Committee one fulltime laborer. ACTION: Moved and seconded to accept Article 59 as amended: "to hire one (1) full-time skilled laborer". Vote carried. ' ARTICLE 60. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $ for salaries for one full-time skilled equipment'laborer and one full-time mechanic or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the Highway Department. Recommended by Finance Committee to Raise and Appropriate $6,620.00. ACTION: Moved and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $6,635.00. Vote carried. ARTICLE 61. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $ for the purchase of two mounted sanders ortake any other action thereon. Submitted by the Highway Department. Not Recommended by Finance Committee. ACTION: Moved and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $9,728.00 for the purchase of two mounted sanders. Vote did not carry. ARTICLE 62: To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $ for the purchase of a Base 2 -Way Radio and four (4) Mobile Units for communication, or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the.Highway Department. ' Recommended by Finance Committee to Raise and Appropriate subject to an acceptable amount being inserted at town meeting. ACTION: Moved and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $2,900.00 for Article 62. Vote carried. ARTICLE 63. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum cf $ for the purchase of a two -ton friction type roller to be used for highway maintenance or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the Highway Department. Not recommended by Finance Committee. ACTION: Motion made and seconded to raise and appropriate the sum of $4,700.00. Vote did not carry. ARTICLE 64. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $ for the construction of two (2) tennis courts to be constructed adjacent to the Little League Field or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the Park & Recreation Department. Recommended to Raise and Appropriate by Finance Committee subject to acceptable bid procedure. ACTION: Moved and seconded to table Article 64. Vote carried. ' ARTICLE 65. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take from available funds the sum of $2,000.00 for the purchase of a four-wheel drive pick-up.truck for use by the Maintenance Department or take any other action thereon. Submitted by the Park & Recreation Department. Not Recommended by Finance Committee. ACTION: Vote did not carry.
