366 <br />Annual Town Meeting Page 22 May 4, 1976 <br />ACTION: Amended to read: To see if the Town will vote to increase the <br />number of members on the school committee from 3 members to 5 members in accordance <br />with the Mass. Gen. Laws, Chapt. 41, Sect. 1 & 2 by the Election of two additional <br />members in the May, 1977 Annual Town Election, one member to serve for one year, <br />the second to serve for two (2) years and thereafter, each new member to serve <br />the regular three-year term. <br />Moved and seconded to accept Article 81 as amended. Vote carried. <br />ARTICLE 82. To see if the Town will vote that the Town of Mashpee Library , <br />Board of Trustees be expanded from its present three members to a Board of seven <br />members. If approved at Town Meeting, it is further requested that the Mashpee <br />Board of Selectmen eppoint the interim vacancies to serve until the next general <br />election. Submitted by Mashpee Citizens. <br />ACTION: Amended to read: To see if the Town will vote that the Town of <br />Mashpee Library Board of Trustees be expanded from its present three members to a <br />Board of seven members in accordance with Massachusetts Laws, Chapter 41, Sections <br />one (1) and two (2) by the election of four additional members in the May, 1977 <br />elections, two members to serve for one year, the third member for two years, and <br />the fourth member for three years. <br />Moved and seconded to accept Article 82 as amended. Vote carried. <br />ARTICLE 83. To see if the Townwill vote to accept the following described <br />gift of land: A parcel of land in Mashpee bounded and described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point on the south street line of Red Brook Road at the lot corner <br />between Lots 31 and 32 as shown on Land Court Plan 14201E being the P.C. of a curve <br />having a radius of 189.12' and situated along said curve an arc distance of <br />140.87', east of the P.C. intersection of Ruthelen Rd. and Red Brook Rd., <br />Thence along the south line of Red Brook Rd. S 670 02' 40" E 105.00; <br />Thence S 220 57' 2011W 152.96' to a point on the line of Lot 35; <br />Thence along the north line of Lot 35N 80o 42' 20" W 91.22' to the east <br />street line of Ruthelen Road; <br />Thence along thiddl$cteio£ Rffithelen Road with a curve to the left having a <br />radius of 265.00" an arc length of 75.00" to the lot corner of Lots 31 and 32; <br />Thence along the dividing line between Lots 31 and 32 N 700 57' 50" E 59.08; <br />Thence N 220 57' 20" E. 90.00 to the point of beginning. This parcel being <br />all of Lot 32 and a portion of Lot 33 containing an aggregate of 18,876 square feet. <br />Refer to Plan of Land in Mashpee, Mass. showing Lot 32 and a portion of Lot 33, <br />owned by New Seabury Corporation, prepared by William M. Warwick, RLS, dated <br />February 12, 1976. <br />For owner's title, see Certificate No. 62915. <br />Said land is offered to the Town by the New Seabury Corporation and is to <br />be used only for the future location of a South Mashpee Fire Station, or take any <br />other action thereon. Submitted by petition of the South Mashped Fire Protection <br />Committee. <br />ACTION: Moved and seconded that Article 83 be accepted as read. Vote <br />carried. <br />ARTICLE 84. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or take <br />from available funds the sum of $ in order to construct and originally <br />equip a two -bay Sub Fire Station, said station to be located on town -owned land, <br />or take any other action thereon. Submitted by petition of the South Mashpee Fire , <br />Protection Committee. <br />Recommended by Finance Committee to Raise and Appropriate subject to sum <br />being inserted as a result of acceptable bid procedure. <br />ACTION: Moved and seconded to raise and appropriate $63,000. Vote carried. <br />For 145, opposed 73. <br />
