448 Special Town Meeting -8- November 15,1978 Article 20 continued Cv" ACTION: Motion made and seconded that the Town appropriate the sum of $25,197 for necessary repair projects in connection with the storm disaster of 1978 and to meet said appropriation the Treasurer is hereby authorized to borrow, with the approval of the Board of Selectmen, the sum of $25,197 under the pro- visions of Chapter 74 of the Acts of 1945 provided that such borrowing shall be reduced by the amount of any Federal or State grants available therefor. Motion carried. 102 for, 13 opposed. ARTICLE 21. To see if the Town will vote to establish the posi- tion of a full-time Dog/Animal Control Officer and to transfer from available funds the sum of $6,507.00, or any other sum, as salary for the remainder of the fiscal year, or take any other action thereon. ACTION: Motion made and seconded.to amend Article 21 to read: To see if the.Town will vote to establish the position of a full-time Dog/Animal Control Officer and to transfer $3,800.00 from Antirecession Fiscal Assistance Fund Title II as salary.for the remainder of the fiscal year. _Motion carried. ARTICLE 22. To see if the Town will transfer from available funds a sum of money to replace the Town kennels, or take any other action thereon. ACTION: Motion made and seconded to amend Article 22 as follows: To see if the Town will transfer from the Municipal Equipment Account a sum of $2,200.00 to replace the Town kennels. Motion carried unanimously. ARTICLE 23. To see if the Town will transfer from available funds a sum of money to be applied to the Mashpee Dog Officer Expense Account or take any other action thereon. ACTION: Motion made and seconded to amend Article 23 as follows: To see if the Town will transfer from Revenue Sharing the sum of $2,000 to be applied to the Mashpee Dog Officer Account. Motion carried. ARTICLE 24. To see if the Town will vote to .create the position of Personnel Officer for the Town of Mashpee, or take any other action thereon. ACTION: Moved and seconded to Indefinitely Postpone Article 24. Motion carried. ARTICLE 25. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from avail- able funds a sum of money to be applied to the Personnel Board Wage Account to meet the salary for said Personnel Officer, or take any other action thereon. ACTION: Motion made and seconded to Indefinitely Postpone Article 25. Motion carried. ARTICLE 26. To see if the Town will vote to create the position of a full-time registered Sanitarian for the Board of Health, or ' take any other action thereon. ACTION: Motion defeated. ARTICLE 27. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from avail- able funds the sum of $11,000 to the Board of Health Sanitarian Wage account as, salary for the Sanitarian and to transfer from available funds the sum of $1,000 to the Board of Health Expense Account for expenses of Sanitarian, or take any other action thereon. ACTION: Moved and seconded that Article 27 be Indefinitely Postponed. Motion carried.
