-10- <br /> Wayne: That is marked on the plan. How about the elevation of the first floor of the <br /> house and the elevation of the pool proposed? <br /> Mr, Gordon: The elevation of the first floor has to be 11 feet. <br /> Wayne: So, there is no proposed grades. There has to be a grade change. <br /> Mr, Gordon: No, what I propose to do and the main reason I have brought the model is to <br /> take and berm this so that I can leave all of the natural vegetation on either side of <br /> the lot and by berming I mean to -bring the soil up roughly three feet and drop it back <br /> down to the normal grade. So I am trying to do minimum disruption to the site. <br /> Wayne: But there are no proposed grades on how the grades are going to change on this. <br /> In other words, these contours are all going to change. <br /> Mr. Gordon: No, the only contours that would change is in close proximity to the house. <br /> Wayne: In other words, you are keeping in very close radius right around the house, <br /> Mr. Gordon: Oh, yes. For example, the lot is heavily treed. I am going to keep all of <br /> the trees on either side of the property line. I am not even going to touch any in front. <br /> Charles: Actually, this pool is going to be raised in relationship to the present contour? <br /> Mr. Gordon: Yes, as shown here. The elevation of the pool would probably be approximately <br /> 10 feet. And by so doing, I don't run into the problem of being below water level for the <br /> deep end of the swimming pool. <br /> Barbara: Have you gone down that deep and found no water? <br /> Mr. Gordon: Yes. They went down 7 feet before they hit water at the test hole. <br /> Barbara: I mean where you are putting in the pool. <br /> Wayne: He is talking of bringing in fill for this lot. You have to. <br /> Mr. Gordon: Just around the swimming pool and for the berming. <br /> Charles: He is raising it. He.has an elevation of 5 here and 6 here. <br /> At this point Mr. & Mrs. Black arrive. They are abutting neighbors. <br /> Mrs. Black: One suggestion for Mr. Gordon when he is making all of his plans. As you <br /> know, it is a cul-de-sac and a lot of rentals and there are a lot of kids that come and <br /> he will need a place for his car. Suggests that he make a provision for it. <br /> Charles: When you finish the berming on this, what will be your angle coming down? <br /> Mr. Gordon: The berming will be finished something like 5 feet out. <br /> Wayne: One cf the reasons the Board likes to get proposed grades as well as existing is <br /> , that you will see all the proposed grades that go around the house to form the berm and <br /> the Board will probably recommend that you go with a two to one slope in order to get to <br /> this 10 feet elevation from the foundation to your first floor.
