-9-
Barbara: So how far does it go out from here to here. I am speaking this way. I can't
count very well.
Mr. Gordon: That is approximately 12 feet.
Pauline: Did you hear from DEQE?
Mr. Gordon: No.
Pauline: I have not received a number on it. Did you send them three copies?
Mr. Gordon: Yes, I did.
Barbara: Donald, twelve feet on his lot is a lot.
Wayne: It is 135 feet according to the scale.
Mr. Hecht: You can't really tell from that.
Mr. Gordon: Also, that is not correct in proportion.
Barbara: Oh, no, I realize that. I would like to check that 12 feet.
Pauline: We cannot act on this until I get that number. We cannot draw up an Order of
Conditions on this until I get that number.
Charles: It will give me a chance to go down and look.
Pauline: We will do an on site inspection.
Barbara: That is a very odd lot. You are 48 feet on the street?
Mr. Gordon: No, I'm 50 feet and then it gets wider.
Charles: Where is the water line here. You are showing this as an elevation of 3/10 of a
foot?
Mr. Gordon: Yes and this is plus 2 feet here. It is not a vertical banking but it comes
up quite rapidly.
Charles: Essentially what we are saying is that the water line is approximately 1 foot
outside of that elevation. So really what .you have there in essence is a float with ap-
proximately three feet of clearance from the edge of the water line.
Mr. Gordon: At low tide, yes. I have put it in just as close as I possibly could. The
water also.drops off faster in this location than any where else along here too. Combined
with the fact that there is that recess there, it is the obvious spot to put one. You can
see the lot is just about dead flat. So, there is nothing to be gained as far as elevation
from going one way or the other. I tried to bring it back as far as I could while still
retaining space for a septic system and a driveway.
Pauline: And the pool is 60 feet back?
Mr. Gordon: Yes.
