-15-
Charles: In relation to this, I was at a Peninsula Council Meeting the other week and
the people down on the Fells Pond area want to go in an open up an old abandoned cran-
berry bog which is immediately adjacent to Fells Pond on the northwestern end of it. The
drainage canals in there have become overgrown and plugged and whatnot. This sets up a
beautiful habitant for mosquitoes and whatnot. They want to go in and open the drains.
Pauline: Tell them to get in touch with the mosquito control.
Barbara: They have done this annually.
Charles: Yes, but what I have asked them to do is submit a letter to us asking for a
determination. They are working within the wetlands. I think that they should apply to
us. I have no doubt about what they are doing is right, but to have them covered and to
cover us.
Pauline: I have not received it as yet.
Water Resources Evaluation & Management
Charles would like to go to this seminar on Water Resources Evaluation & Management if
there are enough monies in the budget.
Water Advisory Committee Meeting
There will be a Water Advisory Committee Meeting on June 25 at 7:30P-m- in the Town Hall.
Lot 504 and 505, Monomoscoy Island
I received a note from Mrs. Anderson in which she asked me to check on Mr. Spohr on Lot
504 and 505 on Monomoscoy Island. I had a very impertinent call from a Jean Saxe of
Barrett's Real Estate that she did not receive a Notice of Intent. Her buyer was coming
from Florida. She demanded a copy. So I came up Town Hall and put it in an envelope and
left it upstairs.
Water Resources Committee -
I received a copy of a letter addressed to the Chief Aquatic Biologist of the Water Re-
sources Commission. The letter was read. Secretary requested to write and request all
copies of studies and results of John's Pond Water Quality Studies.
Charles: There will be a meeting on July 9 at 7:30P-m- We are getting together with a
fellow who is going to conduct this study. All of the land owner groups of John's Pond
will be at that meeting as well.
Keith Jones
I have a letter from Keith Jones with a sketch on the reverse side. This letter was ad-
dressed to the Waterways Committee, but it got turned around and sent to me.
