-7-
Mr. Edgerly, cont.
to the water's edge which is portable and I can lift up. And I have a float which
actually extends 10 feet into the water so that I don't have to walk through the eel
grass or the grass berm there. It is fairly mucky as you might say. I row my little
row boat at mean tide or high tide to go swimming. So, I guess somebody was going by
and they saw it and then I received this very courteous letter from Mrs. DeLory and I
complied. I have all of the records fortunately because it is quite detailed. I
think there is five to seven pages. So, I just sat right down and wrote it out and
made duplicate copies and sent three to Lakeville and one to you. So, my extension
goes out into the water 10 feet,'
which is a float and the rest is a little boardwalk.
And then, I got the final notice from the State as to a little more fasistic. I think
you have it in color, don't you?
Pauline: Right.
Mr. Fdgerly: Where I actually measured the grass that was growing, I measured the dis-
tance between the boardwalks as far as aeration and sunlight and also the height . . .
Well, it is like an island. It is a peat moss. It is built up which the grass grows
on. It drops down to lZ feet to 2 feet where the actual water is. So, I made that
final report and sent that to the State certified. I personally dropped this in her
box (Mrs. DeLory's) as I was going by. I can truthfully say that I wasn't quite aware
that you really had to get permission from this counsel and also the State before you
could even hammer a 2 x 4 in. I now know about it. Well, that is about the extent of
my intent.
Pauline: Mrs. Studley has a question, sir.
Dorothy: I would like to know whose writing this is sir? (referring to the report from
the Stone ConstructionCo. )
Mr. Edgerly: This is my son-in-law's writing who is with the Stone Construction Company
and worked with them when I bought my land.
Dorothy: He wrote this?
Mr. Edgerly: Yes.
Dorothy: He has dreadfully misinformed you. He has told you here that you do not have
to file Notice of Intent for your dwelling and that is definitely wrong. We had a filing
sometime ago, didn't we on a house?
Mr. Edgerly: In 1977.
Dorothy: And it was returned to you because it was not sent certified mail?-
Mr.
ail?Mr. Edgerly: It wasn't registered. I eventually in a couple of months got the check
back and then, of course, wasn't going to do anything about it. And that was it.
J.
Dorothy: And now the whole project is done? `
Mr. Edgerly: Yes.
Wayne: You said Charlie went down and saw it?
Pauline: Right. This is for the walk way and not the house.
