10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 6, 2017 <br /> Review of Draft 42 and possible execution of the May 2017 Annual and Special Town Meeting <br /> Warrants: <br /> Annual Town Meeting Warrant: (continued) <br /> Article#15: Quashnet School Project: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve and recommend Article#15 of the Annual <br /> Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Gottlieb. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br /> Article#16: To create one new full-time position; Assistant Town Planner (New Article) <br /> The newly created position of Assistant Town Planner would work directly under the <br /> Town Planner, a transition position with the future retirement of the Town Planner. <br /> The article was HELD for monetary amount. <br /> Article#18: To create one new full-time position; Assistant Tax Collector/Treasurer within the <br /> Tax Collector/Treasurer Office. For the protection of the Town and in the absence of <br /> the Tax Collector/Treasurer, the position would provide the Town of Mashpee <br /> insurance of performance of legal duties in the absence of the Tax <br /> Collector/Treasurer. This is considered a housecleaning article as the Assistant Tax <br /> Collector/Treasurer position existed. With the retirement of that employee the <br /> position was changed to Payroll Administrator. (This article was formerly Article <br /> 14) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve and recommend Article#18 of the Annual <br /> Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br /> Article 421: Road Improvement Projects under Chapter 90 —HELD for appropriation. <br />
