12 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 6, 2017 <br /> Review of Draft 42 and possible execution of the May 2017 Annual and Special Town Meeting <br /> Warrants: <br /> Annual Town Meeting Warrant: (continued) <br /> Article 433: To adopt the Local Meals Tax Excise. <br /> It was agreed the approximate yield, a sum of$175,000 would be incorporated into <br /> the explanation of this article. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve and recommend Article#33 of the Annual <br /> Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br /> Article 434: To amend the General By-laws —Department of Municipal Finance <br /> This is a new article and deemed a housekeeping matter. The language was drafted <br /> by Town Counsel. An explanation is required. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve and recommend Article#34 of the Annual <br /> Town Meeting warrant. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br /> Article 435: Retail Marijuana Sale Regulatory Bylaw <br /> It is the opinion of Town Counsel there is no benefit or detriment to act upon this <br /> article in May. It was recommended the Board defer this article to the October Town <br /> Meeting as the state may develop new regulations. <br /> Discussion followed. It is the recommendation of the Board of Selectmen to obtain <br /> language from Town Counsel for this article deemed appropriate for the May Town <br /> Meeting warrant, and the May Election ballot. Town Counsel was directed to <br /> prepare the language for the article and the related ballot question. <br /> Article 436: Nutrient Control Bylaw—HELD for explanation. <br />
