Catherine Laurent will email digital copy of <br /> 2012 Santuit Pond dam report. <br /> Catherine Laurent joined the meeting at 11:25 to describe ongoing renovations in <br /> the Archives Building. The project is currently under budget with$124K still <br /> available. With 5 men from DPW staff working whenever available, tentative <br /> opening is sometime in May. Renovations in Community Park include a pavilion <br /> which'may be under construction in May. Memorial Day ceremony will be held in <br /> the Veterans Garden. Public restrooms presently under construction on the east <br /> wall of the Archives building should be completed in May and a concrete ramp <br /> stepping up the incline from the parking lot to the Archives Building front door <br /> will be given high priority to make the building available for the Archives <br /> reopening. Weather and temperature will dictate when ramp work can be begin. <br /> Currently there is no electricity in building, awaiting NSTAR service installation. <br /> Plumbing is being installed. Outlets and data ports will be installed after <br /> electricity, wall insulation, and drywall are completed. There are no commercial <br /> regulations for distance between outlets as in residential buildings (every 8 ft). <br /> WiFi will be available in the building and throughout the park. IT will provide <br /> UPS and surge suppressors for computers. LED pendant lights will be installed on <br /> the first floor and.recessed fluorescent light fixtures in the basement ceiling. <br /> Workspace and visitors will be confined to the first floor. <br /> Catherine will meet with Frank and Nancy about layout of interior of building <br /> including shelving and new storage equipment (file cabinets and map flats) in <br /> January. We briefly discussed visitor and'researcher check-in procedure, using <br /> supply closet to secure belongings as observed in other archives. Unsure of date for <br /> next Planning and Construction Committee meeting to discuss Archives progress. <br /> Following discussions with Rosemary during the summer about republishing an <br /> updated version of the 125th anniversary book of Mashpee, on Aug 11th <br /> Rosemary, Frank, Ann, and Nancy met with Edward and Yolanda.Lodi of Rock <br /> Village Publishing, a local history publishing house, to obtain an estimate to <br /> publish 1500 copies of an expanded 150 page pictorial town history with index, <br /> some color photographs, and revised covers available in late 2014.
