S Board of Selectmen Minutes January 6, 2003 APPOINTMENTS AND H ARfI GS: Harbormaster Water ya ys Commission Mooring Fees. Jim Hanks, Waterways Commission Chairman was present to discuss.the concept of i creasing the mooring fee structure with the Board of Selectmen.. Perry Ellis, Harbormaster was unable.to attend the meeting, but remitted correspondence to the Board dated December 4, 2002 with respect to this regard. It was noted that mooring fees have not been increased since the raid 19,80's- In an effort to.remain comparable with neighboring towns, a ten dollar increase is recommended. The tern dollar increase suggests .00 for boats up.to 2o" in length and .00 per additional foot. For an.example, a 21' boat would pay $55.00 per year. Currently thea are 70 moorings. The increase would add ars additional$8,500 to the Waterways Account. Motion made by Selectman Green to adopt the.new Mooring Fee structure as recommended for 2003 and review the potential.for future increase in non-resident, non-taxpayer mooring fees. Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. vo' : Unanimous., -o. Selectman Leveille abstained. The Harbormaster will be requested to report to the Selectmen regarding the accurate number of moorings, and moorings.held by the non-resident, non-taxpayer for future review and consideration. KFP Architects Inc. —Mashpee Technology Facility Stud dart 31 Steve Devine of KFP Architects; Inc. of HMO=addressed the Selectmen regarding Part#3 of the llashpee Technology Facility Study. The grant funded study described specific development options that could. be considered as viable options for development of the 10.83.acre site. total of five subdivisions studies were selected for plying and development analysis. The options as-described for the development of the site have specific interest in the Town of Mashpee being involved in the direction of the development.aspects.
