S <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 6, 2003 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND H ARfI GS: <br /> Harbormaster Water ya <br /> ys Commission Mooring Fees. <br /> Jim Hanks, Waterways Commission Chairman was present to discuss.the <br /> concept of i creasing the mooring fee structure with the Board of <br /> Selectmen.. Perry Ellis, Harbormaster was unable.to attend the meeting, <br /> but remitted correspondence to the Board dated December 4, 2002 with <br /> respect to this regard. <br /> It was noted that mooring fees have not been increased since the raid <br /> 19,80's- In an effort to.remain comparable with neighboring towns, a ten <br /> dollar increase is recommended. <br /> The tern dollar increase suggests .00 for boats up.to 2o" in length and <br /> .00 per additional foot. For an.example, a 21' boat would pay $55.00 <br /> per year. Currently thea are 70 moorings. The increase would add ars <br /> additional$8,500 to the Waterways Account. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to adopt the.new Mooring Fee <br /> structure as recommended for 2003 and review the potential.for <br /> future increase in non-resident, non-taxpayer mooring fees. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> vo' : Unanimous., -o. <br /> Selectman Leveille abstained. <br /> The Harbormaster will be requested to report to the Selectmen regarding <br /> the accurate number of moorings, and moorings.held by the non-resident, <br /> non-taxpayer for future review and consideration. <br /> KFP Architects Inc. —Mashpee Technology Facility Stud dart 31 <br /> Steve Devine of KFP Architects; Inc. of HMO=addressed the <br /> Selectmen regarding Part#3 of the llashpee Technology Facility Study. <br /> The grant funded study described specific development options that could. <br /> be considered as viable options for development of the 10.83.acre site. <br /> total of five subdivisions studies were selected for plying and <br /> development analysis. The options as-described for the development of <br /> the site have specific interest in the Town of Mashpee being involved in <br /> the direction of the development.aspects. <br />
