9 <br /> F . <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 1 , 2003 <br /> APPOINTMENTS ANIS HEARINGS: <br /> GS <br /> DPW: <br /> Transfer Station: (continued) <br /> Presently th6 5hyear of the resent Transfer Station contract is $325,900. <br /> Additionally, the sum of 3 0,000 is estimated M' the 2 year of the Coastal <br /> Waste Management contract for hauling purposes. <br /> Budgeted in FY04 for the re-bid i $400,000. Discussion followed with <br /> respect to the re-bid process and the potential for a bid significantly higher <br /> than year-five of the Coastal waste Management contract. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to take-the natter under advisement. Selectman <br /> fleveille indicated that he would discuss in detail, the reasons to re-bid and <br /> revised specifications for the operation of the.Transfer Station with the <br /> Assistant Director of Public works. The matter was tabled to the next <br /> Selectmen's Meeting. <br /> Heritaize Park lull fields: <br /> i <br /> The Board of Selectmen reviewed the Heritage Park expansion prof ct <br /> proposal to expand the existing parting lot and create additional playing <br /> fields with the Director of Public Works. <br /> An estimated sum o $80,000 remains in budget from the $200,000 <br /> appropriation to complete the gravel parking lot, walking path and <br /> operational baseball field this spring, wish list items include loam., an <br /> irrigation well to bring the fields on line and a source of power. It is <br /> hopeful that the Town would gain assistance from the military to complete <br /> the identified project. <br /> Mr. Taylor was requested to submit a five-year project plan for the <br /> Heritage Park facility identifying cost estimates, timelines.and effective <br /> use of the $80,000 remaining from the initial budget appropriation. Mr. <br /> Taylor was also dkeeted to prepare a diagram of the present site <br /> configuration for additional review. <br />
