Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 12, 2003 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Approval of Proposed Legislation Support Fetters: <br /> Catherine Laurent, Assistant Director of Public Works was present to <br /> request the Selectmen approve the letters of support for the proposed <br /> legislative bills as outlined in her memorandum ofl May 2, 2003. <br /> The Massachusetts House and Senate Joint Committee on Energy will be <br /> scheduling public hearings on the three bills concerning solid waste. All <br /> three would financially benefit the Town of ilpe . <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to send letters of support <br /> recommending the adoption of the proposed legislation as referenced. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0, <br /> Proclamation—Senior Citizen Week: <br /> Motion matte by Selectman Marsters.to proclaim May 11-17,2003 as <br /> Senior Center Week in the Town of 1 lashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Vacation Carry-Over Request--Town Accountant: <br /> Mane Rommelmeyer, Town Accountant was present to request the <br /> Selectmen allow her to carry forward additional vacation days as a result <br /> of unforeseen circumstances. The carry-over would be used in FY2004. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to approve the request of the Town <br /> Accountant to carry-over 1 additional days. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br />
