Adopt a residential exemption of one 1 <br /> . Not allowan open Space Discount <br /> C. Not allow a "small business exemption" <br /> D. Not allow a `residential factor of one(1) <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o, <br /> Selectman Cahalane absent, i <br /> It'as noted that the Nater District voted as above at the last Selectmen's <br /> Meeting. The hearing was continued by the Selectmen due to unforeseen <br /> conditions. <br /> Library and of Trustees-,Request to Fillyacancics; <br /> David Burton, Chair of the Library Board of Trustees was present to <br /> discuss the present stating reeds of the Mashpee Public Library. There i <br /> presently one 37.5 hour per week vacant position due to the hiring freeze <br /> imposed by the Board of Selectmen, <br /> Mr. Burton discussed in detail,the critical staffing needs of the Library, <br /> and the deteriorating level of services to Mashpee taxpayers. Trustee, <br /> Carlo I ' ste also spoke on the Library's behalf. It was mated that to <br /> employees have recently given notice of retirement. <br /> The 'Town Administrator related concern with respect to consistency and <br /> fairness to all employees working for the Ton of Mahpee. <br /> Due to short sung and vacation requests, Mr. Burton indicated that the <br /> Library has proposed to close on Saturday, December 27, 2003. The <br /> Selectmen requested that the Library rake a strong effort to.remain open <br /> on Saturday, the busiest day for patron who use.Library services. <br />
