Public comment <br /> Peter Hall, resident, asked about the DO levels in the water above the muck. Mr. York <br /> stated some of that information is on the Town's website and they actually monitor these <br /> levels as part of their water monitoring system. <br /> Motion: Mr. Shaw moved for a negative determination, seconded by Mr. McKay. <br /> Vote unanimous 5-0 <br /> 6:15 Town of Mashpee Department of Public Works. Proposed culvert replacement <br /> along Quaker Run stream on Quinaquisset Avenue. NDI <br /> Resource Area: Land Under Water Bodies, Waterways, Quaker Run, Inland Bank, <br /> Riverfront Area and Bordering Vegetated Wetland. <br /> Amanda Crouch-Smith, Tighe and Bond, was representing the applicant. The project <br /> consists of the replacement of an existing concrete box culvert and retaining walls <br /> currently in structural failure with a box culvert with natural bottom fill, inlet control structure <br /> for existing cranberry bog operations. The existing culvert will be abandoned by removing <br /> the top of the structure and filling it in with soil. The irrigation lines that run through the <br /> culvert will be relocated into new conduits that will act as sleeves to allow for future <br /> maintenance. Ms. Crouch-Smith noted that Quinaquisset Avenue is a Town-owned <br /> roadway and the culvert crossing under this roadway is the Town's responsibility, She <br /> referred to the site location on the map provided and gave a detail review of the project as <br /> outlined in Tighe and Bond report on Quaker Run Culvert Replacement Project. She also <br /> noted this was submitted to the Natural Heritage Division of Fisheries and Wildlife. <br /> The Agent stated this project meets all of the performance standards, It is an improvement <br /> project and he recommended a Close and Issue. <br /> He pointed out the portion of the bog where the owner dug out some fill and stated he <br /> should have come to the Commission for a permit.
