Mrs. Botsford reviewed the report and explained any
discrepancies.
Accounts Payables: Mrs. Botsford presented the warrants for review and signature. The warrants for
signature tonight are for the month of April 2016 and total as follows: $46,280.80 for 4001, $9,398.00 for
Section 8, $42,237.00 for MRVP, $95,232.48 for Asher's Path Apartments, $290.52 for HAP, and
$26,043.02 for Great Cove Community.
Mrs. Botsford reported that we have rents paid in full at Homeyer Village. We have one with a small
balance at Asher's Path, one who has not paid at Breezy Acres, and at GCC, we have one resident has not
paid (this resident has received notice that we will not be renewing lease July 1). We are 100% occupied
at Asher's Path, Breezy Acres, and Great Cove Community. Homeyer Village has 1 vacancy that will be
leased by early June.
A motion was made by Kevin Shackett and seconded by]ill Allen to accept the Treasurer's
Report as presented. The motion was adopted.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT&UPDATES:
Mrs. Botsford stated she had mailed her report for April and had the following additions:
• GCC—sprinkler system has been repaired, water samples collected and sent off for testing.
• We received notification that our Formula Funding for Fiscal Year 19 will be $38,770.00. The
initial DHCD estimate for the parking lot expansion job is $124K. We don't have money in our
plan for that, so DHCD has suggested a'study' be put in the plan and see if we can get a design
and size that is more affordable.
• Mrs. Botsford forwarded the notice from DHCD regarding the AUP to all board members via
email. This notice explains everything as discussed previously with regards to"Planning Year"
and current AUPs being withheld in draft form.
• Mrs. Botsford forwarded the response to the Enterprise to all members via email.
• Sherrie Cross has left employment and Gina Orlando will be replacing her as the Property
Manager at Asher's Path. Sherrie had worked part time at Asher's and part time at the MHA and
BHA offices. Now that we have BHA pretty well organized and running smoothly, I've decided to
have a separate position for BHA office. I'm conducting interviews over the next couple weeks
and hope to have this position filled in early.lune. In the meantime, Carol and I will continue to
cover BHA all three days.
• Stuart Saginor was contacted to get his opinion on our proposed CPC application for our Home
Repair Program. His email was forwarded to board members prior to the meeting. From looking
at his response, it appears that this type of program is not eligible for CPC funding. Mrs. Botsford
will notify the Board of Health and Senior Center that we will not be moving ahead with this
program application, and thank them for their support.
OLD BUSINESS:
a) Housing Assistance Program update: Mrs. Botsford reviewed the request received from the
Mashpee Enterprise for public records and distributed a copy of the spreadsheet that had been
Page 2 of 4
