Action Item #5...Conduct eolois stud of Po onesset Spit... continued <br /> Glen Harrington said Town was involved in beach nourishment schedule so that could be considered <br /> a plan. <br /> Conclusion: Yes, continue in the Pian. <br /> Action Item #6...Engage in NFPA... <br /> Tom Rullo said we continue to do this. <br /> Action Item #7...Develop Plan in Conjunction with Wildlife_Refuge._. <br /> Tom Rullo said this is actually done through Item #6 and Item V. <br /> Andrew McManus said usually 2 meetings are done per year with Refuge partnership and we go over <br /> many management goals for refuge—one of the key goals is fire management, mitigation, and wildlife <br /> habitat. <br /> Catherine Laurent said Fire has done burnings; and DPW does cutting; maintenance of unpaved <br /> roads; and mowing-shoulder of roads. <br /> Tom Rullo noted that wildfire access is a partnership with State, Federal, Fire, non-profits, and the <br /> Tribe. <br /> Action Item #8...Stormwater Runoff... <br /> Catherine Laurent said we do on road-by-road basis. <br /> Action Item #9...Town's Wastewater Facilities... <br /> Tom Fudala said we established it—just haven't implemented it. Tom noted Cape Cod Commission <br /> has our DRI held up for the facilities plan. <br /> Catherine Laurent noted the shellfish plan just started and is ongoing. <br /> Tom Fudala said we did fertilizer By-Law; and storm water regulation done years ago in terms of new <br /> projects. <br /> Andrew McManus said they granted shellfish breeding permits in various areas. Application <br /> submitted by Shellfish Constable. <br /> Action Item #10...Evaluate burying facilities... <br /> Town has not done because cost prohibitive for existing overhead lines, but private development is <br /> required to do this for new construction. <br /> Action Item #11...Study placement of Fire etc. facilities... <br /> Wayne Taylor stated that about 10 years ago Mashpee looked at placing fire station at Cotuit, but <br /> then utilized Forestdale/Cotuit services instead. Mashpee did go through the process and built a fire <br /> substation in South Mashpee. <br /> 3 <br />
