They are proposing to rotate the float 90 <br /> degrees, put in a new float (encapsulated) and change the ramp to an aluminum ramp <br /> and some alteration of the existing pilings. The Agent stated the Harbormaster and <br /> Shellfish Constable have no issue. There is no land containing shellfish and no issue <br /> with the reorientation of the float from a navigational standpoint. <br /> No comment from the public <br /> Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to approve the Amended Order of Conditions, <br /> seconded by Mr. Smith. He stated the existing septic <br /> system has failed and the applicant is seeking approval to upgrade the system. He <br /> referred to the plan provided. The system is proposed to be in the same location. The <br /> existing cesspool will be pumped and removed from the property. The proposed system <br /> will meet Title V. regulations. They are requesting a variance from the Board of Health <br /> because the town regulations require 100' from a water body and the proposed distance <br /> is 86 feet. They are scheduled to meet with Board of Health next week. He explained the proposed project <br /> is to reconstruct an existing wood ramp and float and to improve landscaping which <br /> includes retaining wall reconstruction into the Waters of Popponesset Creek. The <br /> proposed project is the reconstruction of the 32 foot licensed float and the 44 foot timber <br /> retaining wall. The seawall reconstruction will involve total removal of the old wood <br /> structure and rebuilding the wood dock in the same footprint. The old posts will be <br /> upgraded from 10" posts to 12" wood pilings. The size of the dock will remain at 6' by <br /> 32' and will match the existing deck. The entire pier decking will be changed to new <br /> composite dock grating. The retaining wall reconstruction will be mostly by small <br /> 4 <br /> 4 <br />
