Resource Area: Land Under Ocean, LSCSF, Shoestring Bay Peter Merlino, Trustee, explained the Trust was applying for an Amended Order of Conditions for a proposed dock extension. They are proposing to rotate the float 90 degrees, put in a new float (encapsulated) and change the ramp to an aluminum ramp and some alteration of the existing pilings. The Agent stated the Harbormaster and Shellfish Constable have no issue. There is no land containing shellfish and no issue with the reorientation of the float from a navigational standpoint. No comment from the public Motion: Mr. Sweet moved to approve the Amended Order of Conditions, seconded by Mr. Smith. Vote unanimous 6-0 6:18 John J. Pike and Alice J. Pike Smith, 39 Wilsons Grove. Proposed septic system upgrade. RDA Resource Area: LSCSF, Buffer Zone to Coastal Bank, Vineyard Sound Tom Bunker, BSS Design, represented the applicants. He stated the existing septic system has failed and the applicant is seeking approval to upgrade the system. He referred to the plan provided. The system is proposed to be in the same location. The existing cesspool will be pumped and removed from the property. The proposed system will meet Title V. regulations. They are requesting a variance from the Board of Health because the town regulations require 100' from a water body and the proposed distance is 86 feet. They are scheduled to meet with Board of Health next week. All areas disturbed as a result of the work will be graded and restored to their preconstruction conditions. Proposed reconstruction. of bulkhead seawall and ramp/float structure within same footprints. NOI Resource Area: Coastal Bank, BVW, salt marsh, LSCSF, Land Under Ocean Jeff Ryder, BSS Design, represented the applicant. He explained the proposed project is to reconstruct an existing wood ramp and float and to improve landscaping which includes retaining wall reconstruction into the Waters of Popponesset Creek. The proposed project is the reconstruction of the 32 foot licensed float and the 44 foot timber retaining wall. The seawall reconstruction will involve total removal of the old wood structure and rebuilding the wood dock in the same footprint. The old posts will be upgraded from 10" posts to 12" wood pilings. The size of the dock will remain at 6' by 32' and will match the existing deck. The entire pier decking will be changed to new composite dock grating.
