Mr. York's report also included the following topics: Predator Control; Great River, Jehu Pond, Little <br />River and Hamlin Pond (DMF area SC16); Mashpee River and Shoestring Bay (SC20); Implementation <br />Schedule; Shellfishery Management Plan; Water Quality Monitoring; Funding Update. <br />VOUCHER SIGNATURE <br />Tom Fudala reported receipt of a voucher from GHD for $1,841.40. <br />Joe Lyons made a motion that the GHD Voucher for $1831.40 be approved for payment. Tori Burns <br />seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote: Lyons, yes; Burns, yes; Pittsley, yes; Fudala, yes. The motion <br />was approved by a vote of (4-0-2) with Santos, Gurnee absent. <br />FUNDING ALTERNATIVES <br />Tom Fudala reported on a memo that details a 2016 Commonwealth of Massachusetts act regulating <br />sewer betterment assessments in the Commonwealth. The act allows the town the option of adopting a <br />30 year rather than 20 year betterment policy. <br />A memo to Joyce Mason from Robert Ciolek, Consultant, CCWPC, who did a funding analysis for the <br />Town of Mashpee, states that capital costs should be put on the town budget for taxpayers to bear. <br />Mr. Fudala noted that the Tribal Council is looking for additional funding for their shellfish operations. <br />Mr. Fudala sent a letter of support to the Administration for Children and Families/US Department of <br />Health and Human Services, expressing his strong support for the SEEDS program grant application <br />submitted by the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. <br />NEXT MEETING <br />The next meeting of the Sewer Commission was scheduled for Thursday, May 19, 2016. The meeting <br />will be held in Ockway Meeting Room 2. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />As there was no further business, Tom Burns made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. Joe Lyons <br />seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote: Tom Burns, yes; Joe Lyons, yes; Pittsley, yes; TomFudala yes. <br />The motion was approved by a vote of (4-0-2) with Santos and Gurnee, absent.
