— Alice would like to know what type of presentations have already been made to the other Organizations
and what was their feedback.
— Answer: They are going to schedule a formal presentation with HAC. Steve states that he spoke with
HAC regarding the opportunity to manage the rental portion of this project. They seem excited about
this opportunity. HAC is more aware of who needs these units.
— Louise asks if the questions regarding -management of the project and the long-term impact will be
addressed in the final application.
— Answer: Yes, that is a requirement. The Committee will be receiving an oversight information
package from Roland shortly.
— Alice asks who will conduct the application process.
— Answer: Mashpee Housing Authority.
— Alice has concerns the phasing and the distribution of the units are vague.
— Answer: Units will be evenly distributed. Phasing depends on funding.
— Debbie asks how long for the completion for the first commercial unit.
— Answer: Approximately one year. We need to file the permits first and are already putting the permits
together. The studies won't be completed until late April.
Zella then requested comments from the Committee regarding the presentation:
— Jamie has concerns regarding density. He also states that there are more units available in Mashpee
now and the prices have been decreased; although not affordable.
— The Committee also has concerns about the cost of the additional rental units.
— Zella proposes sending a letter to the Selectman giving approval on a conceptual basis with the
following concerns noted:
■ Density
• Request made to increase the percentage of affordable units from 25% to 30%
■ Request for a some number of percentage of units targeted to the moderate income bracket (80%-
1.20% of Median Income)
Monthly Report from Deborah...
