Charlie M. said that the police and <br /> fire want one location at the school for life saving issues. <br /> With regard to Special Needs students, Bob W. commented that Michele Brady was <br /> checking into other accessibility issues that would pertain to the community(i.e. Braille, <br /> audio systems for the blind,tapes for audio CD's or written material). <br /> Charlie M. mentioned that are trying to set up a quiet room. Trish P. commented that a <br /> child with autism would have a problem with change. The school should have all that <br /> information. <br /> Charlie M. spoke about an incident at a senior house where lights were coming on <br /> automatically and that being a problem for someone with epilepsy. <br /> Catherine commented that structural is the D.P.W.; curriculum is the school. <br /> Catherine mentioned that the D.P.W. would be re-doing the gym emergency exit at the <br /> Coombs School and the ramp will be done this summer. <br /> With regard to snow plowing, Catherine said that they have limited resources during a <br /> storm and that they receive calls from everyone. She referenced a call from someone <br /> who lives on a steep hill and their having their own issues. Bob W. said that he will <br /> speak with Michele Brady to put out the word to ask that the parent have a plan. <br /> Catherine L. commented that there is signage for a deaf child on DeGrasse Road which <br /> they inquired about with Michele Brady. Michele indicated that no one was requiring it <br /> according to her records, but was hesitant to give any names because of privacy issues. <br /> New Business <br /> Catherine L. said that they are expecting to receive preliminary plans for the archives <br /> project and asked if someone from the committee could look at the plans. She said that <br /> there was a time constraint and that she needs to go to plan review. Charlie M. <br /> commented that they could address it through a narrative for the A.A.B.
