Ms. Farren <br />will follow up with Ms. Purdy. <br /> <br />Mashpee High School Senior Project Fair-November 2011 <br />Ms. Farren also contacted Celeste Reynolds, Senior Seminar Coordinator, regarding the Senior <br />Class Project. Ms. Vaughn noted that the date was being scheduled for November 18 or 19. Ms. <br />Vaughn stated that Ms. Reynolds preferred that individuals from the community attending the <br />event be prepared to suggest project ideas to the students. It was suggested that the Affirmative <br />Action Committee offer the development of a webpage. Ms. Farren stated that she had also <br />mentioned the various drives that were previously discussed by the Committee as well as <br />participation in the Christmas parade, and that the Committee would be interested in attending <br />the event. <br /> <br />-Christmas <br />Parade <br />Christmas Parade but her response stated that the logo could only be used on ADL materials and <br />publications for trademark reasons. <br />materials were available for purchase directly from the ADL. Ms. Farren indicated that she <br />would inquire further, adding that materials had been difficult to acquire. <br /> <br />The Christmas Parade will take place on December 10, at 5:30pm, and will begin at the library. <br />Selectman Sherman stated her hope that older kids be involved with the parade, such as the high <br />school football team. Selectman Sherman stated that younger children bringing a project made <br />of recycled materials to the library would be eligible to walk with Santa in the parade. There <br />float or banner in the parade, and the possibility of <br />involving students or members of the Committee. <br /> <br />Selectman Sherman stated that 30 floats and bands were expected to be part of the parade, <br />including a military band. November 30 was the deadline for entries. Entry forms were <br />available on the Chamber of Commerce website. A block party will take place at Roche <br />Brothers following the parade. <br /> <br /> <br />The next meeting has been scheduled for November 9 at 7:30 at the Stoughton Police <br />Department. Harry Katz of Duxbury has been an active leader of the South Shore Coalition. <br />There was discussion regarding the benefits of attending the meeting, such as learning about new <br />ideas for activities. Ms. Vaughn suggested the possibility of having the South Shore Coalition <br />forward their agendas and minutes in place of attending the meeting. Ms. Farren stated that there <br />had been no additional information regarding meetings of the Cape Cod Coalition since the <br />Sandwich meeting one year ago. <br /> <br />Ms. Farren shared an original brochure that had been initially released by NPFH, along with <br />bookmarks offering suggested reading materials. Ms. Farren noted that there had been limited <br />materials more recently.
