position of Vice-Chairperson; Devin Sha ken for the position of Treasurer; and ]ill Allen for
the position of Assistant Treasurer. The motion carried unanimously.
SECRETARY'S REPORT:
Minutes for the regular meeting field on May 8, 2014 were mailed to members before the meeting. The motion was adopted.
TREASURER'S REPORT:
Budget to Actual Deport: Mrs. Botsford presented the budget to actual report, prepared by the fee
accountant, and reviewed it with the board, explaining the variances. Mrs. Botsford pointed out that,
although this is for period ended June 30, the fee accountant has net yet entered the gear-end
adjustments, so it is net really a true reflection of the year-end numbers. Mr. Joy will prepare the year-
end reports for review and approval at a later meeting.
Accounts Payables: Mrs. Botsford presented the warrants for signature. The warrants for signature
tonight are for the months of May and June 2014 and total as follows: May: $70,733.78 for 4001,
$6,137.00 for Section 8,F $29,980.00 for MF VP, $42,418.79 for Asher"s Path Apartments and $1,773.31 for
the Housing Assistance Program; For : June: $60,476.48 for 4001, $5,137.00 for Section 8. $29,329.00
for Mr VP, $26,771.52 for Asher's Path Apartments and $9,249.50 for the Housing Assistance Program.
Mrs. Botsford reported that vire have all residents paid in Full at all developments and we are 10010
occupied at all developments. A motion was made by Mr. Laporte and seconded by Ms, Alien to
accept the Treasurer's Report as presented. The motion was adopted.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS REPORT*
Mrs. Botsford reported that she just got back to work and things are going along fine. She reported that
Vincent and Carol did an outstanding job of handling things while she was away. Mrs. Botsford stated
that, although she was able to work part-time from home, there was a lot to handle, and there is still a
lot of catching up to do.
Mrs. Botsford reported that we are 10000 occupied at all developments. We expect one, possibly two,
vacancies at the end of June, so we" a started processing applicants for that. one resident at Breezy
Acres has not paid rent we have a court agreement,. so attorney Grace has filed for possession) and one
at Asher's Path who hasn't paid. This tenant has been issued a Notice to Quit. Mrs. Botsford followed up
with the attorney on this, and we hope to avoid going to court to get possession.
Vincent continues to assist in Brewster one day a week, as needed.
Mrs. Botsford reported that she had Beard back from MHP today with regards to requesting a feasibility
study for the 950 Falmouth Road property. The report from Laura Shufelt at MHP is that the property
would not be feasible for a large development. The parcel is in a flagged area for Priority habitat for
endangered species (probably turtles). This would reduce the buildable area to under an acre on each
site. The 3.26 acre site is bisected by an intermittent stream (maybe more than intermittent) which also
limits the buildable area. There is no public water to the site, further limiting the number of units. So,
the land may be OK for a couple of Habitat homes, but couldn't support enough units for a rental project.
Mrs. Botsford will advise both the Board of Selectmen and the Affordable Housing Committee.
Mrs. Botsford reported two small accounts receivable that she would suggest the board vote to write off.
Both are from previous Breezy Acres tenants and the total is $2,128.54. A motion was made by Ms.
Page 2 of
