Robert <br /> DeLory informed it is on tomorrow evenings Planning Board <br /> Meeting Agenda, David Bailey stated the last he talked with The <br /> Town ' s Attorney, the 17th was targeted as The Closing Date. Last <br /> week Mr. Bailey spoke with Mr. Dan Murphy of The D.O.P. who is <br /> handling this matter. Mr. Murphy will let Mr. Bailey know the <br /> specifics , but had expressed opinion The Town would have to <br /> assess the penalty and then abate it . * . he did not feel this <br /> action would affect the overlay but would check with The Bureau <br /> of Accounts for the particular accounting method ,to be used . <br /> Conservation Restriction Proposal <br /> Chairman Greig asked the confirmed meeting date.. David <br /> Bailey informed it is January 24th. He has been requested t j <br /> attend the meeting but was not asked to submit specific <br /> information. Mr. Bailey will speak with Mr. G hritenourF in this <br /> regard. <br /> Chairman Greig expressed hope there would be a "round table <br /> discussion" among all The Town Boards regarding this important <br /> matter, Mr. Bailey expressed opinion this may be the plan. <br /> Robert DeLory stated that The Hoard of Selectmen wants The Board <br /> of Assessors to defer to them, Both Mr. DeLory and Mr. Greig <br /> refuse to defer. Lengthy discussion followed. <br /> Robert DeLory expressed opinion this entire matter should be <br /> handled on an individual basis to avoid the probability of large <br /> tax abatements .
