Lengthy discussion followed. <br /> David Bailey informed Board members that this is where ne ral <br /> stands at present. All of the statistical part of the <br /> residential portion has been appro red, and Mr, Bailey has been <br /> able to apply the data to The Town. He explained that the <br /> computer system shows th-.s data on the screen, but it is not <br /> clean. The last several days he has been running tests and <br /> checking through the system to make sure that when applied, <br /> everything falls in line . . . such as location factors and the <br /> like. The acreage data has not been checked. <br /> Upon question from Vice Chairman Greig, David Bailey stated <br /> that the D.o. . will do a field check, but MMC is not contracted <br /> to do a field check . • . we contracted for the eventuality. <br /> Upon question from Kenneth Porter, Mr, Bailey stated that <br /> Assessing is looping for unanticipated changes because the <br /> computer system is quite complicated. He expressed feeling and <br /> hope th-at he has a good handle on this ratter because there is <br /> not much time to accomplish a good field review. This is the <br /> reason he is running these tests and thoroughly checking through <br /> -the computer system <br /> Vice hairman 'Greig questioned if Mr. Steve F'ererria will be <br /> coming into Assessing to do a reve1w with David Bailey . Mr. <br /> Bailey informed that he tried to reach him today to see if he <br /> wanted to come by and go over what we have done. He agreed with <br /> Mr . Greig that a review with Mr, F'ererria would prove beneficial . <br /> Upon question by Mice Chairman Greig, David Bailey informed <br /> that Assessing must be finished with. everything by December 1 , <br /> which includes the Classification Hearing, the Tax Rate Approval , <br /> etc . The D.O.R. has been checking our information right along ; <br />! sue Moynihan has very little work to do, so long as Assessing <br /> does not find things that have gone wrong. Mr, Greig referred to <br /> the printouts of the "plus and minus" data that was discussed <br /> earlier in this meeting. Mr . Bailey explained that if his. <br /> Moynihan approves this data , and depending on hoar much time she <br /> spends with hire tomorrow, he should be able to clean up most of <br /> the ragged edges within two days ; at that point , the residential <br /> portion should be finished unless Board Members have matters to <br /> which particular attention should be paid. <br />
