Board of Assessors Meeting Page <br /> r <br /> Assessing De artment' s Computer System <br /> Mandy Data Base to Have <br /> Chairman Greig informed that Sid Gollup - <br /> computer expert - formulated a list of properties on his <br /> computer that Mr. Greig- would like to have. Sid called Mr. Greig <br /> for some owner-occupied listings in New Seaal u ; Nor. Greig wants <br /> to see the snap and block numbers of these properties. <br /> David Bailey explained that Sid is the computer <br /> expert who 'has Assessin ' Commitment; he was quite impressed <br /> with Sid ' s recent mailing; 'Mr. Bailey had just recently given him <br /> the tape which Sid completed within a very short time; others <br /> have taken a very long time to complete similar computerized <br /> information . Lengthy discussion followed. <br /> Marcia King g informed that she is quite familiar <br /> with the mailing and Sid' s work in general "he is a <br /> wizard.". " David Bailey asked if Sid hired someone to develop the <br /> data base program; Nis . King informed that he developed it himself <br /> . . . many phone calls were received about the program. Mr, <br /> Bailey made comment that he will have to speak with Sid it <br /> was what 'he did with the information so handily that . was so <br /> impressive ! ! It would be a handy data base to have set up <br /> because Assessing does not have any of this data set up on Its <br /> PCs . <br /> Marcia King inquired if Assessing- will put Its <br /> data on the Network when It moves to Its new office space. David <br /> Bailey stated this is another topic that he will next discuss . <br /> New Software System <br /> David Bailey stated that he recently informed The <br /> Board about Patriot Properties ' new software system developed to <br /> operate along, with windows 95 . The program is more visual and <br /> much easier -to use 0 0 the next generation of assessment <br /> software! ! He expressed opinion that Assessing will have to <br /> invest in some type of similar software in the near future <br /> just to keep up and to stop maintaining Its other system. <br /> P <br /> Mr. Bailey expressed opinion that once Assessing, <br /> moves into Its new office, and once the Network is up and <br /> running, It should put Its assessment data on the network; thea, <br /> market and speak with vendors in regard to new software systems . <br />
