He very angrily stated "That' s what I 'm saying . . . <br /> it too] . you almost• nine months to resolve . • 0 " Mr. Bailey <br /> interrupted and calmly stated "That is absolutely not true. 1f <br /> Richard Kerrigan screamed "from the first time I walked in here <br /> and I discussed this with you '. 'a " David Bailey again replied <br /> "That is absolutely not true. " Heated argument followed. Again, <br /> Mr. Kerrigan *screamed as he replied "That is absolutely true! ! " <br /> Mrs . Kerrigan tried to quiet down her husband . . . Mr. Kerrigan <br /> screamed IlHe is calling me a liar! ! David Bailey replied "I <br /> absolutely ars! I " <br /> Chairman Greig then intervened. He addressed Richard <br /> Kerrigan and sternly stated "Wait a minute . . you have already <br /> called the Assessors incompetent, so if you want a hearing, you <br /> keep your tome down! ! " Mr. Kerrigan explained, "I called the <br /> solicitor who came out incompetent . . . and anybody who looks at <br /> these figures absolutely has to say that the person who vent out <br /> and assessed ray property at $274 , 000 can not be cabled competent <br /> • . under any stretch of the imagination! ! " <br /> Marcia King calmly informed "This is all water under <br /> the bridge, unfortunately; as Dave has said, there is a. deadline <br /> for the 1997ill; we cannot do anything at this point, " Mrs . <br /> Kerrigan asked who can do something about it. Chairman Greig <br /> informed "'the only people who could, if they would, would be <br /> D.O. . David Bailey informed there is absolutely no reason the <br /> Department of Revenue would look at this as extraordinary <br /> circumstances this is a case where a person did not fide an <br /> application for abatement. <br /> Richard Kerrigan asked if he could just make this <br /> statement: "Even though you people say that you sent a solicitor <br /> out and he appraises my property for 1997 at $274 ,000, and <br /> approximately six months later, you send your own Assessor out <br /> and he admits that there was a mistake made, and they drop the <br /> value of my property to $ o , nobody here posts any liabi-lity <br /> for anything. " Chairman Greig explained the laws are so set up <br /> that if you do not file an abatement application within a <br /> I <br /> prescribed time, we cannot do anything about it that means out that the t o bill l l <br /> you cannot f�.le.
