This <br /> Board regretfully accepts the resignation and congratulates Jason on his appointment as Mash eels <br /> Director of Assessing, effective November 20th. A copyof Jason's resignation letter is attached to the <br /> p <br /> . printed set of these minutes. ` <br /> Sheldon Holzer–No Report. <br /> ASSESSORS REPORT <br /> ` 1. Brace Anderson Interim Director of Ase <br /> Paul Andrews read a timetable report received from Bruce Anderson as follows: <br /> November 1 –Paul Kapinos will be finished with his machinations of the database and will <br /> return it,to us for entry into the appropriate forms for submittal to the DOR. <br /> 0 November 20–Jason Streebel will begin as Mashpe 's Director of Assessing. <br /> 0 November 27–Classification Hearing with the Board of Selectmen and the Water District. <br /> * November 28–submit the completed hard copy documentation of the recap sheets to the <br /> Department of Revenue. BOA members Paul Andrews and Sheldon Holzer to sign original <br /> Recap sheets. <br /> November 29–Bruce Anderson's last day. <br /> . Classification Hearia . –Jason Streebel asked for permission as a public member to address the <br /> Board. He stated that for the November 2 classification Hearing he was asking this Board for <br /> recommendations on 3 issues for him to offer to the Board of Selectmen—namely: <br /> 1. Does town choos <br /> e to spirt tai rate or keep same single tax rate for both commercial and <br /> residential properties. <br /> 2. Does town wish to residential exemption. . <br /> 3. Does town wish to offer smell business exemption. <br /> He said the Hater District Commission wound also Grote on the same thing. <br /> g <br /> He§aid classification Hearing is when town opens public hea6ng to decide whether to. lit or keep same <br /> P <br /> tax rate for all classes of property. He said up to this pint lahpee has kept one rate for both <br /> commercial and residential properties. Jason distributed a copy of a flow chart to show what happens <br /> when a town chooses to do all three. In reviewingppe <br /> the flow chart it shows l�o�+ complicated it can get. <br /> .Jason noted that most boards suggest not having separate classification. <br />
