Mr. Hayes <br /> had called earlier and had a conflicting appointment that was a considerable <br /> distance away; he asked to be continued to the end of the hearings* <br /> CONTINUED TO 8:40 .m. <br /> ANG KRA I T PROGRM for a Determination of Applicability <br /> on the installation of a two-well monitoring well cluster along the eastern shore <br /> of Ashu et Pond to monitor groundwater quality. Marty Acre and Larry Dearborn <br /> presenting. Abutter notifiction receipts were provided. A map showing the <br /> location was reviewed. <br /> Mr. Sherman asked how many wells were installed up to now? Mr. Dearborn advised <br /> since starting in February, about fifty wells, not in fifty locations. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised there is no bordering vegetated wetland and the shoreline is <br /> gravel; he has looked at the site. The need for another well came up on the site <br /> f Grafton Pocknett Road. Erosion cannot get into the pond; this has been included. <br /> Public comments were requested; there were none. <br /> vim: Motion made and seconded to find a negative determination. <br /> NBGATM DETERM111TATION, <br /> 7:40 ZNUSKY for a Determination of Applicability on the removal of a <br /> brick patio and replacement with concrete; and to extend an existing retaining <br /> wall eight feet at 26 Menemsha Road. An after-the-fact filing. Barry Oliver <br /> presenting. <br /> This started off as a replacement of a brick patio under the deck. The original <br /> slope of the land was fairly high, 4-1/21 to 5' above the edge of the bank at <br /> Deans Pond. The drainage is not changed. There was a swale which ended at the <br /> house. It is flat and has been loaned and seeded. It is # to vegetation one <br /> way and got the other, <br /> Mr. Sherr-an stated there is no impact to resource areas,. <br /> Mr. Oliver advised the lawn has been replaced with conservation mix. Abutter <br /> receipts were provided. <br /> Public comments were requested; none. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to find a negative determination, <br /> NBGATIVE D O , <br /> 7:50 MASHPEE HERRING WARDEN to -amend the Order of Conditions for SE43-1130 <br /> to permit removal of vegetation interfering with the operation of the herring <br /> run at Iill Pond Mashpee River. Leigh Potter presenting. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised it is proposed to remove a series of Juniper-type material <br /> that clogs the bearing run; they were shrubs 20 years ago. There are five to <br /> be removed. They are pushing the cement wall.. They will be flush cut. <br /> Public comments were requested; there were- none. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to amend the Order of Conditions for SE 43 -11.30. <br />
