Conservation Commission <br /> March 12, 1992 <br /> Page 4. <br /> Mr. Gray advised they are looking for 'the maintenance clause for the pier' itself. <br /> Language in the order of Conditions could direct him to come back for maintenance <br /> on the bulkhead. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated it can be conditioned that he would have to arrange an 'on-site <br /> to determine whether he would have to file for his repair•. He has not involved <br /> Dave Ryan on this but will do so before closing. <br /> Mr. Gray advised they have not done any shellfish survey. The client advised there <br /> are soft shell clams and quahogs in the river. Mr. Homeyer stated it is good shell- <br /> fish habitat. 1t was noted in the narrative, <br /> Mrs. Simons asked if there would be a problem with access Ir. Gray advised it is <br /> not the requested 5 feet above grade at that point but the seawall is not an imped- <br /> iment. If Chapter 91 deems it necessary for it to be raised or have some steps, <br /> they will come back with an amendment. <br /> Public comments were requested; there were none. <br /> j =: Motion made and seconded to close the hearing for Harry DeAngelis upon <br /> receipt of information from the Shellfish warden. Abutter receipts <br /> were presented by Chris Costa. The revetment is in good condition; there will be <br /> no changes. Maintenance is being requested. The pier will start at the bottom of <br /> the existing stairway. It is a 20 foot section of permanent pier and thea T <br /> which is permanent also. Paul Somerville asked for a proposal that did not use a <br /> Float system and that shellflsheren wouldass on either side. The can also <br /> p y <br /> reach under to fish. There is a very distinct channel and the pier will be <br /> parallel. He will have enough water at Mean Low dater. They received a special <br /> pest. from Zoning Board ofAppeals last night. <br /> Nor. Sherman advised the commission has always required filing fees even though <br /> existing and they were not included for the revetment. Mr. Costa agreed to <br /> submit the additional fees. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated the hearing cannot be closed pending receipt of fees and <br /> Shellfish commenEs also. <br /> Mr. Costa stated the design is based on conversations with Paul Somerville, <br /> Asked the type of boats that would use the structure, he advised the sons have <br /> boats but he was unaware of details. Be was told the .size of the boats and the <br /> draft will have to be provided. <br /> Mr. Desrosiers stated it should be conditioned the be held to the east end and <br /> d <br /> the outside of the float. <br />
