Conservation ComTdssion <br /> Meeting of February 7, 1991 <br /> 'age 3. <br /> He did not anticipate construction to commence within the next two years. <br /> Mr. Sherman had no objection to the project as described but pointed out the bank <br /> is the first break in slope above the pond under the bylaw. <br /> It was noted the lot was not staked and Mr. Sanicki stated this is because no <br /> construction is proposed. <br /> Mrs. Simmons stated there should be haybales to protect the area, <br /> Mr. Sanicki stated it will be a one-day operation. He agreed haybales can be <br /> placed if the comm sion so desires. It is a shallow area. <br /> Mr, . Simmons stated this can-be conditioned. <br /> OTE Motion made and seconded that the hearing be closed with the condition <br /> that haybales in a horseshoe configuration be placed around the excavation. <br /> Unanimous Vote. <br /> '. CLOS . <br /> 8:15 1 ICWLAS I I[USTO, for the trimming of existing vegetation on the coastal <br /> bank to a minimum height of four + feet at 108 Captain's stow. vegetation was <br /> cut on the coastal bank. <br /> . Sherman advised Mr. DiGiusto and his neighbor, Mr. Liguori., had cut vegetation <br /> from the top of the coastal hark to the toe to a height of 4-5 feet; neither were <br /> aware they were in violation. <br /> Mr, DiGuisto stated vines and poison ivy were cut. <br /> Mr. Coffey stated the Commission is concerned under the bylaw because vegetation <br /> which serves a variety of functions for wildlife Lcn keeps the bank from ending <br /> up down river. He asked if they would Like to continue pruning? <br /> Mr. Sherman suggested the Consultant, Elis Allem, view both sites and give ars <br /> idea of how often it should be done and ghat should be done. This at a cost of <br /> $25.00 to the applicant. The Commission agreed. Mr. DiGuisto and Mr. Liguori <br /> agreed also. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised some of the debris was left in place; Mr. Allen's advice to <br /> be followed. <br /> Vim: Motion made and seconded to continue to February 21 1991 at 9:00 p.m. <br /> pending the inspection and report by Ellis Allen. <br /> Unanimous Vote. <br /> CWTINM TO YEBRUARY 21, 1991 - 9:00 .M. <br /> 30 VECENT S.
